【設計意圖】在這一環節中,復習有關交通工具的詞匯,為下一步的學習做好充分的準備。
Step 2. Presentation
1.教學單詞airplane(plane),train, fast, slow。
T: (屏幕出示一幅圖片)Look, this is my friend Cathy. She wants to go on a trip to Canada. How can she go there? By bus?
S: No.
T: Canada is far from China. A bus is slow. (板書并領讀)She can go there by airplane. (拿出飛機單詞卡片貼在黑板上,教學airplane(plane), 向學生介紹飛機的兩種寫法)
An airplane is fast. (板書并領讀)
T: I want to go to Beijing on this Children’s Day. Can I go there by bus?
S: No.
T: How can I go there?
S: By car.
T: But I don’t have a car.
S: By airplane.
T: Oh. The airplane is fast, but I don’t have enough money. I think I can go there by train. The train is faster than the bus, and cheaper than the airplane. The train is just right for me.
2.教學句型__________ is faster than._______is slower than_________.
T: Which one is fast? Which one is slow? (CAI課件出示飛機和火車圖片)
S: An airplane is fast. A train is slow.
T: Yes. An airplane is faster than a train. A train is slower than an airplane.
T: Look, which one is faster? Which one is slower?(出示火車和公共汽車圖片)
S: A train is faster than a bus. A bus is slower than a train.
Step 3. Practice
1.出示飛機、火車、公共汽車等有關交通工具的每對圖片,讓學生說出圖片要表達的內容。
Eg: A train is _________ than a bus but__________ than an airplane.
2.多媒體展示自行車和大卡車,出租車和飛機,小雞和兔子,劉翔和Miss Cui等等圖片,學生對比,運用句型_________is faster(slower) than___________.
Eg: A bicycle is slower than a truck. A truck is faster than a bicycle.
A cab is slower than an airplane. An airplane is faster than a cab.
The chicken is slower than the rabbit. The rabbit is faster than the chicken.
Liu Xiang is faster than Miss Cui. Miss Cui is slower than Liu Xiang.
【設計意圖】借助多媒體和圖片出示不同的交通工具,有趣的動物形象,卡通人物,鼓勵學生模仿說句子,激發學生敢于表達所學句型。
3.Student book:
T: We know Li Ming wants to go on a trip to Beijing. How do Li Ming and his mother go to Beijing? Let’s listen to the audiotape and try to find the answers.
Step 4. Consolidation
Demonstrate a dialogue with a volunteer.
T: Boys and girls, Children’s Day is coming. Where do you want to go ? How do you go there? Talk about it with your friends. Here are some places and vehicles for you.

Homework:讓學生去調查身邊的人或事物,寫一寫________is faster /slower than_________.
教學反思:
本節課是一節典型的關于比較級的語法課。小學階段的語法教學應體現隱性語法教學原則,作為教師不應為學生直接講解語言中出現的語法概念,而是應通過創設的語言情境,讓學生在活動中去感悟、理解出現的語法現象,從而掌握所學的語法知識。本節課,通過創設真實的語言情景,為學生呈現公共汽車、飛機和火車的圖片,教學比較級句型__________is faster than_________.___________is slower than_______. 所以教師又充分利用了兒童節即將到來這一真實情景,為學生提供了學習英語和用英語交流的語言環境。通過本課的學習,學生可以較好地掌握所學單詞和句型,并能積極主動地加以運用,達到了預期的教學目標。
