熱議兩會

北京又迎來了一年一度的兩會?！皟蓵币殉蔀闈h語的一個常用詞匯，可是英語并不簡單譯之為two meetings?！叭珖嗣翊泶髸笔荖ational Peoples Congress———NPC，英語報道時往往簡稱為Chinas Parliament或Chinas national legislative session，“第十一屆全國人民代表大會第二次會議”是the second session of the 11th NPC；“中國人民政治協商會議”是National Committee of the Chinese Peoples Political Consultative Conference———CPPCC，外電常稱之為Chinas political advisory session，“全國政協十一屆二次會議”是the second session of the 11th national committee of the CPPCC。

溫家寶總理在人代會開幕大會（opening session）上做的“政府工作報告”鼓舞人心（inspiring，其后不用加people等賓語），不但引起出席兩會的代表和委員們的熱議（heated discussion），也受到全國人民熱烈歡迎（was warmly received by the people of the whole country），乃至全世界的關注（aroused global concern）。全球媒體密集報道（the media of the world gave concentrated coverage/reportage）。有的把這一報告稱為“總理強音，中國宣言”（The Prime Ministers clarion voice, Chinas declaration），還有的指出這一報告“提出了刺激經濟的雄心勃勃的綱要”（outlines aggressive plans to stimulate/boost/beef up/bolster economy），“發誓在全球經濟掙扎情況下解決社會關心的問題”（vows to address social concerns amid a struggling global economy）。

外電評論一致說，報告展示了中國“保八”的決心（demonstrates Chinas determination to meet the target of GDPs growth rate of 8% set for this year）。溫總理重申（reaffirm/reiterate）“保八”目標幾乎占據了所有大媒體的顯著位置（occupied prominent position in major media）。很多媒體說，中國4萬億元的刺激經濟的計劃（the 586-billion stimulus package plan to stimulate economy）不但會拉動內需（boost domestic demands），也會使全世界受益（will benefit the whole world）。▲
