該度假山莊的位置正好位于滑雪道的底部，專為年輕的家庭打造。業(yè)主想要一個(gè)溫暖而舒適的環(huán)境來享受他們的冬日假期。高雅的胡桃實(shí)木地板、門以及托梁與石墻、壁爐的組合，為我們精心搭配的家具營造了一個(gè)優(yōu)雅的鄉(xiāng)土背景。光與影的相互交錯(cuò)重疊在綠色、鐵銹色、紅色和棕色等暖色調(diào)上，整個(gè)房間顯得愜意而又不懼嚴(yán)寒。

項(xiàng)目的面積5000平方英尺，里面卻設(shè)置有七個(gè)臥室，另外圖書室、家庭影院、SPA室以及臺(tái)球室等應(yīng)有盡有。面積比之前類似功能空間足足少了2000平方英尺。似乎占地面積較小的住宅更能滿足更多客戶的需求，因?yàn)樗麄兏⒅氐氖欠孔拥氖孢m度，而不是其外在的形式，這也是一種新趨勢。

每個(gè)空間都保持著一種個(gè)性，通過每個(gè)獨(dú)特布置的燈光效果來予以凸顯。大部分燈具比例都較大，使得房子給人的感覺更大。整個(gè)空間里的一切都是圍繞著打造一個(gè)溫暖的環(huán)境使業(yè)主能更好的享受嚴(yán)冬假日的主題來進(jìn)行的。業(yè)主希望我們能為他營造一種從打開門的那刻起就能感受到的傳統(tǒng)而溫暖的家的感覺。也許他們也曾羨慕過雜志上的潮流趨勢設(shè)計(jì)，但一旦真正輪到他們?yōu)樽约旱募易鲞x擇時(shí)，他們又更傾向于選擇一個(gè)能讓自己從心底感覺到舒適和快樂的家。

This is a vacation home， located just off the ski runs， for a very young family. The clients specifically wanted a warm and cozy environment to best enjoy their winter visits.The rich walnut floors， doors and trim， combine with the rock walls and fireplaces to create an elegantly rustic backdrop for the carefully chosen furnishings and accents.An interplay of light and dark， overlaid with the warm tones of green， rust， red and brown throughout the rooms keep the home cozy and welcoming for the snowy winters.

Although this 5，000 sq. ft. home has seven bedrooms along with a library， media room， spa area and billiard room， the house is about 2，000 sq. ft. less in size than homes I have designed with similar features in the past.I am finding that the square footage of each room in recently designed homes is shrinking but that we are able to include all of the luxury features that clients still desire. Admittedly， while a 5，000 sq. ft. home is not small， this new trend towards a smaller footprint does seem to fit with many of my client’s desire to enjoy a second home in a more livable and less ostentatious manner.

Each room and area in the house maintains a personality that has been enhanced by the placement of unique light fixtures.In most cases， the light fixtures are large in scale， which balances the strong architectural details of the house and allows the house to feel bigger than its 5，000 square feet. Everything about this house is warm and welcoming to best enjoy a snowy， wintry vacation.Clients that choose to work with our firm express a wish for traditional and warm interiors that they can feel at home in the moment they walk through the door.While they may admire cutting edge design and stark， trendy features seen in magazines， when it comes right down to it， their choices always come back home to what makes them feel most comfortable and happy in real life.
