[摘 要] 《普通高中英語課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)(實(shí)驗(yàn))》的總體目標(biāo):“培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的綜合運(yùn)用語言的能力”。聽、說、讀、寫四項(xiàng)技能對于高中生來說是綜合運(yùn)用語言的基礎(chǔ)。語言的全部技能都是相互聯(lián)系、相互影響的,沒有一種技能不依靠另一種技能就能被掌握和運(yùn)用。因?yàn)殚喿x是寫作的前提和基礎(chǔ),所以借助閱讀和多媒體教學(xué)來提高學(xué)生的寫作能力。

英語寫作總是件讓人頭疼的一件事。學(xué)生常常是抓破頭皮寫出一篇文章來,卻不夠理想,寫出來的英語老是不地道,被老師稱為Chinglish。那么如何上好一堂景點(diǎn)描述的英語寫作課呢?
首先要引起學(xué)生的興趣。收集一些國外雜志上的景點(diǎn)介紹語篇,讓學(xué)生去猜地名。并借助多媒體,給學(xué)生呈現(xiàn)相應(yīng)的語句和圖片,例如:⑴It is located in the United States. It is cultural heritage.It was designed by a Frenchman.It is a gift from the French people.It is a symbol of freedom.There is a torch(火炬)at the top of it. (—The Statue of liberty )⑵ It is a symbol of the nation.It is located in the north of China.It was built for defense purpose.It is one of the eight wonders in the world. It is over 6000 kilometers long. He who has never been to it is not a true man.(—The Great Wall) 在這猜地名的過程中,通過聽和讀的訓(xùn)練,讓學(xué)生掌握一些典型的介紹地方的語句,對介紹某一景點(diǎn)有一初步的了解。
接著,我們可以借助閱讀的力量,來提升學(xué)生的寫作能力。閱讀與寫作是兩個(gè)相互交融的行為,兩者相輔相成。一位好的作者必須是一位好的讀者,寫作的過程也就是模擬讀者閱讀的過程;閱讀的過程實(shí)際上也是一種模擬寫作的過程,是一個(gè)發(fā)生在讀者與寫作者之間相互作用和影響的過程。司托茨基(Sotsky)認(rèn)為,寫作活動(dòng)對提高閱讀理解非常有用,反之,通過閱讀來提高寫作的方法也證明是很有效的。因此,在這一環(huán)節(jié)中,給學(xué)生分發(fā)兩篇介紹國家或景點(diǎn)的文章,例如:Canada和 belgium。讓學(xué)生閱讀的同時(shí),回答一些圍繞介紹地方而設(shè)置的問題,如Q: What is the size of Canada? Q: What is Canada famous for? Q: Where is Canada? Q: Does an army or the police defend the border of Canada and the USA? Q: On the eastern and western boundaries, what can you see? Q: Who would like to visit Canada? Q: If you are an outdoor enthusiast, what can you do in Canada? Q: What is the population of Canada? Q: How many cities are mentioned in the passage? Q: What are these cities known for? Q: Which city is the largest city in Canada? Q: Why do so many visitors go to Alberta’s West Edmonton Mall?學(xué)生完全可以到原文中去尋找答案,模仿練習(xí)介紹地方的句型。
通過聽、讀訓(xùn)練后,讓學(xué)生自己討論總結(jié)出,介紹一景點(diǎn),可從Name,Location,History, Population, Climate,Transport, Description (area, height, length, feature…),Comments 等方面著手。對于打基礎(chǔ)階段的學(xué)生來講,較多地熟悉寫作模板、多借助模板進(jìn)行操練是寫出高質(zhì)量作文的捷徑;已有一定基礎(chǔ)的同學(xué),則可以在課堂里,幫助其他同學(xué)來,擬訂這一模板。讓學(xué)生們分組討論,哪些詞組和句型可以用來準(zhǔn)確無誤地介紹景點(diǎn)。討論結(jié)束后,在ppt上呈現(xiàn),并以總結(jié)。

最后在課堂中,給出一表格式作文,讓學(xué)生用所學(xué)的詞句或模板來介紹一景點(diǎn)。整節(jié)課,通過聽、讀、寫相結(jié)合的方法,讓學(xué)生逐步掌握用英語介紹景點(diǎn)的技巧,并能自如運(yùn)用的同時(shí),領(lǐng)略到各國風(fēng)情文化。
