Robber Fails Twice Due to Misspelled Notes

According to the Washington Post， Maurice Fearwell tried to rob two banks in the 1200 block of K Street， Washington， USA， but failed to do so due to his incorrectly spelled robbery note that read， \"all mona\".

The words on the robber's robbery note were spelled incorrectly， authorities said， and he was unable to articulate （明確地表達） his demands. So the confused teller （出納員） at the downtown Washington bank turned the man away， saying she couldn't help. The FBI says the man didn't fare （進展） much better at a second bank three blocks away. There， it took the teller a few moments to realize that the man standing at her window was not a customer but a robber. She alerted security and the man fled. The police said officers quickly arrested the 20-year-old suspect a block away.

Beavers Save Wildlife Refuge from Oil Spill

A group of at least six beavers at a Utah bird refuge have emerged as key players in helping contain a fuel leak. The Chevron fuel spill leaked about 27，000 gallons of crude oil into soil and marshes （沼澤） at Willard Bay State Park after a split in a Salt Lake City-to-Spokane， Wash. pipeline. The beavers' dam （堤壩） blocked a large portion of oil from rolling onto the bay. \"That dam absolutely saved the bay，\" said Dalyn Erickson， a wildlife specialist. The dam held fuel in place and kept it from going any further， she said. The beavers that were part of the group rescued had burns on their skin and eyes， and only patches of fur left on their bodies. Erickson said she worried that some of the newly rescued beavers might not survive the fallout （后果） from the spill.
