一、單元背景
Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? Section A1a-2c是新目標(biāo) Go for it ! Students,Book 八年級(jí)上冊(cè)Unit5的內(nèi)容。Section A主要是以娛樂活動(dòng)為話題來談?wù)撓埠煤椭贫ㄓ?jì)劃。本單元主要是通過“創(chuàng)設(shè)情境”的教學(xué)原則,并通過任務(wù)型教學(xué)( task-based learning )交際教學(xué)(communicative teaching method)創(chuàng)造性地使用英語。在“學(xué)中用,用中學(xué)”,從而引導(dǎo)學(xué)生們形成正確的文化觀念,大力培養(yǎng)學(xué)生們的跨文化意識(shí),形成自己獨(dú)立的個(gè)性。
二、課時(shí)設(shè)計(jì)說明
本課時(shí)作為本單元的第一課時(shí),旨在重點(diǎn)培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的聽說能力。本部分首先通過圖文將學(xué)生帶入“談?wù)撾娨暪?jié)目”的語境中,并呈現(xiàn)了不同電視節(jié)目類型的表達(dá)方式,以及句型A: What do you think of…? B: I don’t mind them. / I can’t stand them. / I love watching them. 用來表達(dá)對(duì)各類電視節(jié)目的喜好。本部分海呈現(xiàn)了談?wù)撚?jì)劃和安排的句型,主要學(xué)習(xí)不定式作賓語的用法: 如 want/ hope/ expect/ plan to do sth.在活動(dòng)設(shè)計(jì)方面的特色:首先我播放一段短片“爸爸去哪兒”,來引出本單元的話題。這有利于激發(fā)同學(xué)們的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,引發(fā)他們的思想共鳴。計(jì)游戲“Who has the best memory”來及時(shí)鞏固所學(xué)有關(guān)電視節(jié)目的單詞。通過“喜好對(duì)對(duì)碰”的游戲環(huán)節(jié)來引出表達(dá)喜好的句型,讓同學(xué)們?cè)谕嬷袑W(xué),在做中學(xué)。)通過介紹自己的打算和計(jì)劃來達(dá)到拋磚引玉的效果,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生互相交流他們的計(jì)劃和打算,實(shí)現(xiàn)師生、生生互動(dòng),提高課堂的交互性。設(shè)計(jì)group work。通過調(diào)查同學(xué)們最喜歡的電視節(jié)目類型,并即時(shí)展示調(diào)查結(jié)果來達(dá)到鞏固所學(xué)句型和加強(qiáng)師生交流和了解的雙重目的。(加強(qiáng)對(duì)調(diào)查結(jié)果的反饋和評(píng)價(jià),諸如:which kind of TV show is the most popular? And which one is the least popular? Why and why not?)最后的游戲環(huán)節(jié)則是模仿時(shí)下流行的game show,設(shè)計(jì)以不同的電視節(jié)目為主題的一期答題競(jìng)猜秀。在每一種電視節(jié)目后都有一個(gè)相關(guān)的問題。(所設(shè)計(jì)的問題不是流于形式,一味地追求流行和時(shí)尚;而是讓每個(gè)問題都與本節(jié)課所學(xué)內(nèi)容息息相關(guān),且形式多樣,諸如:單選、句型轉(zhuǎn)換、回答問題等)。將同學(xué)們分成A 、B組,進(jìn)行搶答 PK, 最后積分較高的一方將成為獲勝方,并將獲得老師精心準(zhǔn)備的一份驚喜。技術(shù)應(yīng)用方面則綜合采用傳統(tǒng)和現(xiàn)代教學(xué)手段,借助ppt /自己制作的flash和視頻/ 電子白板、各種視頻音頻軟件(不僅僅是插入網(wǎng)上下載的音頻;而是將已有音頻進(jìn)行靈活處理和濃縮,使之更加符合教學(xué)需要)等,力圖使課堂呈現(xiàn)出更多交互性,情境性和靈活性,也更能體現(xiàn)新課標(biāo)的新理念。評(píng)價(jià)方面則注重生生、師生互評(píng),提高學(xué)生的參與度,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的主動(dòng)和主體意識(shí),讓他們真正成為課堂的主人。教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)緊扣教學(xué)目標(biāo),并且聯(lián)系當(dāng)下最流行的新聞事件、最時(shí)尚的流行元素;并且在教學(xué)中隨時(shí)滲透德育。
三、學(xué)情分析
初中階段的學(xué)生正是愿意展示自我的年齡,對(duì)參與語言實(shí)踐活動(dòng)有著積極主動(dòng)的心理需求,對(duì)英語學(xué)習(xí)還保持著較濃厚的興趣。八年級(jí)學(xué)生的自學(xué)能力較高,求知欲也很強(qiáng),有著較強(qiáng)的主體意識(shí)和主動(dòng)性,且也已具備了一定的計(jì)算機(jī)操作能力。所以本節(jié)課采用“學(xué)生自學(xué)為主,教師為輔?”的教學(xué)指導(dǎo)思想,并根據(jù)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)要求,通過網(wǎng)絡(luò)搜集要了解的知識(shí)。其次通過將新課內(nèi)容巧妙地融入豐富多彩的教學(xué)活動(dòng),來激發(fā)同學(xué)們的學(xué)習(xí)興趣和參與熱情。
四、學(xué)習(xí)目標(biāo)
1. 語言知識(shí)目標(biāo):
1) 能掌握以下單詞:sitcom, news, soap, educational, plan, hope, find out, discussion, stand, happen, may, expect 2)能掌握以下句型:① What do you want/plan/expect/hope to watch? ② What do you think of talk shows? ③ I can’t stand them. ④ I don’t mind them. ⑤ I like/love them. / I don’t like them.
3) 能了解以下語法: 動(dòng)詞不定式結(jié)構(gòu)做動(dòng)詞的賓語;后面接動(dòng)詞不定式做賓語的動(dòng)詞。
2. 能力目標(biāo):學(xué)會(huì)陳述自己的看法;學(xué)會(huì)談?wù)撟约旱南埠茫粚W(xué)會(huì)制定計(jì)劃。
3. 情感態(tài)度價(jià)值觀目標(biāo): 學(xué)會(huì)談?wù)摿餍形幕私飧黝愲娨暫碗娨暪?jié)目的名稱和自己的喜好。 注意引導(dǎo)學(xué)生們形成正確的文化觀念,大力培養(yǎng)學(xué)生們的跨文化意識(shí),形成自己獨(dú)立的個(gè)性。
五、教學(xué)重難點(diǎn)及解決措施
1. 教學(xué)重點(diǎn):1) 學(xué)習(xí)掌握各類電視和電視節(jié)目的名稱。2) 學(xué)會(huì)表達(dá)個(gè)人喜好,制定個(gè)人計(jì)劃。3)掌握動(dòng)詞不定式結(jié)構(gòu)做動(dòng)詞的賓語;了解后面接動(dòng)詞不定式做賓語的動(dòng)詞。
2. 教學(xué)難點(diǎn):掌握動(dòng)詞不定式結(jié)構(gòu)做動(dòng)詞的賓語;了解后面接動(dòng)詞不定式做賓語的動(dòng)詞。
3. 解決措施:1)設(shè)計(jì)豐富多樣的課堂活動(dòng),將所學(xué)知識(shí)融入到教學(xué)活動(dòng)中去;2)鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生合作學(xué)習(xí),通過雙人合作和小組合作對(duì)所學(xué)知識(shí)進(jìn)行學(xué)習(xí)和鞏固;3)鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生充分利用網(wǎng)絡(luò)資源,自發(fā)自主的查閱相關(guān)資料,達(dá)到預(yù)習(xí)和鞏固的效果。
六、教學(xué)過程
Step one: warming-up
Play a clip of video about the most popular reality show “Dad, where are we going?”
Then talk freely with Ss
e.g. Do you like this reality show? Why?
Then lead in the new words by saying: Do you want (下轉(zhuǎn)第176頁)

to know more about other different TV shows? OK. Let’s study our new unit, Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show?
Step two: leading-in and new words
Pose a question: What kind of TV shows do you know? Then introduce Ss to other different kinds of shows by presenting pictures.
Try to add the pronunciation of new words. When presenting, let Ss get familiar with new words and expressions. Next play a game named “Who has the best memory”
Step three: Game time
Design another game called “pair-up” which aims to introduce how to express preference. Then lead in the first sentence pattern.
Step four: Introduce another two sentence patterns
Introduce another sentence pattern related to making plans and the reason. Make sure Ss can master the following key words: want / plan / hope / expect to do sth. Firstly the teacher makes her own plans to set an example for Ss. Then present pictures and text materials for Ss to make their own plans.
Step five: group- wok
Divide students into group of four. Make a survey about students’ favorite TV shows
A: What do you plan / expect / hope / want to watch?
B: I plan / expect / hope / want to watch….
A: why do you like watching…?
B: Because….
Then conclude the survey results and show the group work.
Step six: listening
Play the sound recorder and ask students to finish related exercise designed by English teacher.
Step seven: Game show
Now students are in a game show. Its topic is about different TV shows. Behind each show there’s a question to answer. (All the questions are closely related to the language points in this class. Besides they’re in various forms.) Divide students into two groups A and B to PK to see which group gets the higher score. The winner will get a surprise from the teacher.
