學生習作中的中式英語

本文將一次基礎(chǔ)寫作訓練中發(fā)現(xiàn)的中式英語句子進行分類，剖析中式英語的具體表現(xiàn)，以期考生在自己的寫作中注意避免中式英語，寫出地道句子。

作文訓練題目如下：

假設(shè)你是李華，正在國外求學，租了一套公寓，想尋找一個合租人。

[寫作內(nèi)容]

請根據(jù)以下信息寫一封郵件給租房中介，內(nèi)容包括：

地 點：玫瑰街1號

房租總額：￥380/月

公寓情況：80平方米;兩房一廳，一廚一衛(wèi);免費無線上網(wǎng)（wifi）;臨近兩大超市及公共圖書館;交通便利，步行5分鐘至地鐵站

合 "租 "人：有責任心，不抽煙

聯(lián)系電話：有意者請于下午6點后致電5558-5916

[寫作要求]

只能使用5個句子表達全部內(nèi)容。

[評分標準]

句子結(jié)構(gòu)準確，信息內(nèi)容完整，篇章結(jié)構(gòu)連貫。

中式英語在學生習作中的表現(xiàn)

以下句子均來自學生習作，為了便于分類，有些句子省去了修飾成分。

一、語序不當

由于思維習慣的不同，英、漢語言在表達相同的事物時，往往采用不同的語序。如：中文在表達地點時往往采用由大到小的順序，英文則采用由小到大的順序，于是許多學生在表達“地點：玫瑰街1號（The apartment is located at No.1， Rose Street.）”這一信息點時出現(xiàn)了如下錯誤：

1. The apartment is located at Rose Street No.1.

2. The apartment is at the Rose Street 1st.

二、詞性誤用

英語中許多介詞的中文意思聽起來很像漢語中的動詞，因此，有的學生常將介詞誤作動詞來使用。如：

1. The apartment at No. 1，Rose Street.（將介詞at誤用作動詞）

2. The apartment near two big supermarkets.（將介詞near當動詞用）

正確的表達是：分別在介詞at 和near前面加上動詞is。

3. The apartment with an area of 80 m2.（介詞with當動詞用，應(yīng)將其改為covers）

4. Here is convenient and only takes 5 minutes walk to the subway station. （here是副詞，不能作主語，here前加Living，only前加it）

另外，中文的主語比較靈活，但英語中的主語必須是名詞、代詞、動名詞、動詞不定式、從句等。因此，學生往往會濫用主語，如：

1. Most important is only cost you 50 minutes to subway station on foot.（形容詞most important誤用作主語， 應(yīng)改成What’s more， it only takes you 50 minutes to go to the subway on foot. ）

2. Walk five minutes can go to the station. （It takes five minutes’ walk to go to the station.）

三、搭配不當

1. Renting my apartment only pays for ￥380 a month.（pay的主語一般是人，不能將renting這個動名詞用作其主語）

2. My apartment is convenient to walk to the subway station only by 5 minutes.（convenient的搭配一般是：it is convenient to do sth.）

3. We need to cost ￥380 per month.（cost的主語一般是物）

4. My apartment with free wifi to surf the Internet rents ￥380 each month.（rent當及物動詞用時其主語應(yīng)是“人”）

5. An apartment with 80㎡ is renting out.（宜改為An apartment with 80㎡ will be rented out.）

四、逐字翻譯

1. The apartment costs 380 dollars per month.（試題要求表達的是房租總額每月380美元，但該句傳遞的信息是：公寓每月花費380美元）

2. I want to find a student who has a responsible heart and has not a smoking habit to share my apartment.（“責任心”正確表達方式應(yīng)是sense of responsibility）

中式英語在我們的習作中普遍存在，其句子層面的表現(xiàn)形式遠遠不止筆者所列舉的這幾類。僅憑一次作文訓練也遠遠不能將中式英語現(xiàn)象講清楚，但筆者在此僅希望拋磚引玉，期待更多同行和同學關(guān)注這一現(xiàn)象，減少中式英語。
