一、設計意圖
本課設計遵循新《英語課程標準》中強調(diào)的“能在圖片的幫助下聽懂、讀懂并講述簡單的故事。在學習中樂于參與、積極合作、主動請教。”的理念,注重在學習語言知識和內(nèi)容的同時,培養(yǎng)學生口頭表達的能力和觀察、想象、記憶、思維的能力,以及解決實際問題的能力。在整個教學過程中體現(xiàn)以生為本的原則,根據(jù)學生的年齡特點和學習水平,進行各種活動,力求做到面向全體,促進全員參與。通過體驗學習、小組合作學習等方式使不同層次的學生得到不同程度的發(fā)展。
二、教學設計
(一)教學目標:
1.技能目標:
(1)能夠了解怎樣詢問生日、年齡和正確表達生日和年齡。
(2)能用本單元主要句描述過去發(fā)生的事情。
2.知識目標:
(1)基本掌握核心詞匯When, birthday, autumn, spring, March, September, October,及短語happy birthday. 能說,能簡單運用。
(2)句型
When is your birthday?Its March 12th.
How old are you?Im eight years old.
(二)教學重點:
1.怎樣詢問生日、年齡和正確表達自己的生日和年齡。
2.能用本單元主要句型描述過去發(fā)生的事情。

(四)教學過程:
Step1 Greetings and warm-up
Step2 Set the scene
(1)T: Today is my friends birthday. I have a gift for her.
(Ss review and read the word: gift.) Here is a birthday gift. 引入課題,板書課題: birthday.(Ss read and practice the pronunciations).
Lets sing it!
Ss: Sing a birthday song together, and say “happy birthday” to the friend.
(2)整體感知
Watch the flash and think about the question: Whose birthday is it? (Its Mockys birthday.)
(3)Read the story one sentence by one sentence.
Show the pictures of the four seasons and a calendar, learn spring, autumn, October, September, and October.
(4)Read the story again, and repeat: Today is Mockys birthday.
T: When is Mockys birthday? How old is Mocky?
Write down the dialogue and read.
(5)Then do the exercise: T or F.
Step3 Paper work:
(1)Show table 1 and fill Mockys birthday and age.
Then read the story again and complete the table 1 in groups.
Check the answers.
(2)Show a calendar again, and ask Ss to answer:
When is your birthday? How old are you?(Point at the right picture and talk about it.)
Ask 3 friends about their birthdays, and complete the table 2.
Ask 2-3 to show their table and read the sentences.
Step4 小結: 新單詞和句型.
T:Today we learned five new words…
Ss: Spring, autumn, March, September, October.
T: And how to ask and answer your friends birthday and age?

三、教學反思
“Mockys birthday”是小學英語北師大版第九冊第四單元的內(nèi)容。本單元的重點是關于詢問及介紹生日,年齡的句型,以及十二個月份的學習。本堂課的教學選擇了第一課時,關于課文教學。課文由Mocky看到桌上的禮物,猜測是誰過生日,由此引入關于詢問和介紹自己生日和年齡的對話。
在教學中,我利用課件的展示把學生引入到課文的情境中去,由聽力練習,到模仿對話,學習單詞,再到自讀課文,運用對話,由學習到模仿再到運用。
反思這堂課,在前半部分學習新知的環(huán)節(jié)上,先設計學生整體感知,再由整體到句,詞,對新單詞的學習采用了隨文識字的方法,邊聽邊讀邊學,分解了課文的難度。學生在學習時也就不會有太難而學不懂的感覺。
總之,課堂是教學的主陣地,是學生展示的舞臺。教學要變學生被動學習為主動學習,讓他們積極主動參與獲取知識的全過程,讓他們認識到英語的價值,生活中離不開英語,使他們喜歡英語,樂學英語。
