例題二:讀寫任務
閱讀下面短文,然后按照要求寫一篇150詞左右的英語短文。
It is a proverb: Education is the movement from darkness to light. Education is important to young people. We often say: knowledge is power and wealth.
But some students chose to drop out of high school or college. Take Zhou Hao, used to be a Peking University student, for example, he chose to study in a technology school in 2011. Why did he do that?
Firstly, he didnt choose a major that he was interested in, but he listened to his parentsand his teachers' advice.
The second reason is that even though he tried his best to adapt to his college life, he failed finally. He found that it was boring to learn the theories instead of taking apart machines. He hated the teaching framework. So he decided to drop out of school and to find the good place where he can study the skill.
Lastly, because he pursued his dream, he dropped out of Peking University. He is dreaming about being an engineer who can do it by himself.
All in all, we should have a right view about student dropping out of school.

寫概要
1. 分析文體類別:閱讀材料為說明文,第一段作者指出普遍的觀點,即教育重要;第二段以But開頭的首句才是作者要重點探討的問題,是主題句,即提出“有人輟學”這一與普遍觀點不一樣的現象;接著第三至五段以周浩為例分析輟學的原因,最后一段作者呼吁人們如何看待輟學的現象。
2. 找出關鍵詞句:寫概要前,應在文中找出并標明以下關鍵句或關鍵詞句:

While searching the Internet, I was attracted by a complain note written by some student who studied at the same school as my son. He not only complained about the noisy and dusty environment for the school was being constructed, resulting in his distracting from his study, but also he hated the strict school rules. For example, he couldnt take the mobile phone to the school, without which, he think, he couldn't keep in touch with his former classmates, whom he would turn to for help while he had questions. After reading it, I was at a loss.
At dinner, I asked my son, a Senior Three student. “Your school is under construction, is it noisy?”
“Yes, many vehicles and other machines are crowded on the place where there used to be a playground.”
“So while in classes, you cant hear the teacher?”
“Of cause, our teachers make themselves heard with the aid of mini microphone and I am used to the noise. Anyhow, we can't change it.”
