Surrounded by the clearest blue waters and rimmed with white sand beaches, the heavily vegetated 45 hectare 5 star luxury resort is located on a low lying sandy isthmus called a tombolo which links an island to the mainland. The crescent shaped beaches plus an understanding of the infuence of eddy-like ocean patterns which created them, combined with views to the rugged peaks of the nearby mountain ranges provided the direction for the resort master planning and landscape design.

大規模的室內物理模型被用來檢測所有設計，同時也成為傳遞用戶體驗的主要方法。柯林?岡下勝美博士的團隊在編制總體規劃圖時，在度假村建筑物布局中尊重敏感脆弱的環境，令游泳池和主要流通道路與環形的陸連島地形相呼應。在搖曳的棕櫚樹形成的樹蔭下，用低矮曲線形石墻隔成多個區域，配上一些臨時跌水潭水景，以模擬雨季山間斷斷續續的瀑布。

Using large scale physical models which are built in-house to test all designs and used as the primary method to communicate the user experiences, the CKOA team developed the master plan that was respectful of the sensitive environment in it’s layout of the resort buildings, the swimming pools and main circulation paths which echo the circular tombolo form. Beneath a canopy of swaying palms, areas are separated by low, curved stone walls with occasional cascading water features that allude to intermittent waterfalls seen in the mountains during the wet season.

度假村設計在強勁的方向性元素和其他元素的隨意弧線之間，形成有趣對比，目的是為了讓到度假村的客人有個不同體驗，讓他們放松下來，放慢腳步，安靜下來，進行沉思，身心得到恢復。其他長且筆直的道路直接將客房與沙灘連接起來，這樣的形式讓人們不時想起以前的防波提，它們能夠阻止海水沖入到沙灘，為一代代當地漁民提供安全著陸。由于度假村地形高度變化不大，因此這些對比道路的布局方式為度假游客指明了清晰的方向。

The resort design is an interesting contrast between strong, directional elements and the casual arcs of the others which speaks to the reason for a resort get away, calling for relaxation, slowing down, being calm, contemplation and mental and physical resourcing. Other long straight pathways link guest rooms directly to the beach, their form recollecting the memory of old jetties which pierced the water from the beach and provided safe landings for generations of local fisherman. As the site has little topographic elevation change these contrasting path layouts gives clear directions for vacationing guests.

柯林?岡下勝美博士曾經有一次坐小船進行勘測，他不經意地回望，使他從航行視線中獲得了靈感。最終他設計了一系列不朽的直立型雙洞石槳葉構造物，沿對角穿過主池，從大廳朝向沙灘。

Dr. Okashimo was inspired by navigational sight lines from his survey in a boat looking back towards the site. This resulted in the creation of a monumental series of erect, twin travertine blades which cut diagonally across the main pool from the lobby towards the beach.

要在度假村場地內保留紅樹林，建設度假村時，需要謹慎規劃和懷著敬畏之心設計新度假村的植物種植方案，以實現當前的無縫過渡。

Preservation of the mangrove forest within the site required careful planning and respectful design of the new resort planting scheme during the construction of the resort to ensure a now seamless transition.
