泰國曼谷素坤逸輝盛套房酒店位于泰國曼谷中心的旅客聚居區，周邊被白天黑夜的無休止的活動和噪音包圍，該項目為沿途勞頓的旅行者提供一個庇護所，讓他們有一種回到家的寧靜感覺，暫時看不到都市熙熙攘攘的人群。通過對附近一個寺廟的研究之旅，柯林?岡下勝美博士發現了寺廟的獨特模式，人群沿著外部走廊每天重復循環，在一小塊區域內營造了一個中心的神圣空間。他的景觀和藝術品設計是從他對具體場地以及沿著貫穿整個城市的水道行走的經歷中獲得靈感的。

Located in the tourist bustle of central Bangkok surrounded by ceaseless action and noise throughout the day and into the night, this project provides a refuge and welcome sense of calm and visual relief from the urban neighbourhood. Through his research visits to a nearby temple Dr Okashimo was intrigued by the way careful, daily repetition of circulation patterns along the outside corridors created a central sacred space within the small compound. The quite landscape and artworks design was inspired by his personal experiences both there and along the ubiquitous canals which criss-cross the city.

樓塔被一圈高大的保護性常綠樹木包圍著。進入狹小場地內，首先看到的是平坦的草坪，被兩灘泛著亮光的淺水完美地分割開來，形成一個系統網絡，并用瓷磚利用當地藝術風格進行裝飾。每塊瓷磚獨具一格，印上從附近香灰莉木上飄落下來的樹葉獲得靈感的圖案。為了滿足修改原設計方案加入消防通道的需求，采用隨機方式打破了整個布局結構，暗示該安全要求所帶來的破壞性影響。

The tower is surrounded by a perimeter of tall, protective evergreen trees. Entry to the small site offers a carpet of fat lawn perfectly divided by 2 panels of shallow refective water that hold a grid of locally crafted white ceramic cubes. Each cube is unique, impressed with forms inspired by the leaves falling from an adjacent Tembusu tree. In response to the need to alter the initial design solution to accommodate a fire access way, the pure grid was disrupted in a random enthropic way to suggest the dislocating impact of this safety regulation.

一堵樸實平靜的白墻讓從橫跨在狹小幽暗池塘上的接待處的視覺變得完美。

A plain, restful white wall completes the view from the reception across the narrow black pool.

在游泳池面上方，種植大量熱帶植物，將整個空間包裹起來，隱匿在繁華都市喧囂之中。在一堵長墻上畫上城市水道的縮小版地圖，長墻位于游泳池一側，與對面的不規則布局相互映襯，墻對面采用豎向欄桿，欄桿與昭披耶河沿岸的高腳屋相得益彰。在一塊木板內，設有一處水景，水景采用紅色瓷磚集合布局，成為一處與周邊安靜環境形成鮮明對比的喧囂之地，讓觀眾者獲得別樣的體驗。

Above on the swimming pool deck lush tropical planting wraps the space in a quite ambiance concealing the city beyond. A long wall featuring an abstracted map of the city canals that fanks the pool and contrasts with the irregular layout of the opposite side with it’s vertical handrails that echo the stilted housing along the Chao Praya River. Contained within a timber deck a water feature holds another geometric composition of red ceramic cubes which create a tension with the tranquil surrounds and open the possibility of provoking a reaction from viewers who may question and refect upon their experience.
