意大利威尼托文化遺產集群主任賽爾吉奧·卡洛：中意在文物保護的合作可以給全世界提供樣本

賽爾吉奧·卡洛，意大利威尼托文化遺產集群主任。自2006年起，他多次來到重慶大足石刻，參與“大足石刻舒成巖摩崖造像保護”項目的調查論證與保護工作。作為大足石刻與意大利進行文物保護合作的親歷者，他也是此次受邀參會的意大利專家之一。

Sergio Calò is the cluster director of Venetian Heritage Cluster, Italy. Since 2006, he has come to Dazu Rock Carvings in Chongqing for many times to participate in the investigation,demonstration and conservation of the “Protection of Shucheng Cliff Sculptures in Dazu Rock Carvings” project. As a witness to the cooperation between Dazu Rock Carving and Italian in terms of heritage protection, he is also one of the Italian experts invited to the workshop.

《重慶與世界》：您如何評價中國在文物保護方面的努力？

賽爾吉奧·卡洛：中國政府對于文化遺產和文物保護非常重視，同時也進行了巨大投入。就重慶來說，大足石刻研究院在這方面也取得了非常大的成績，無論是耗時8年對大足石刻寶頂千手觀音造像的成功修復，還是現在正在進行的對臥佛的保護修復都達到了很高的水平。

The World & Chongqing: How do you view China’s efforts in heritage conservation?

Sergio Calò: The Chinese government has attached great importance to the protection of cultural heritage and cultural relics, and has also invested heavily. As far as Chongqing is concerned, the Dazu Rock Carvings Research Institute has also achieved great in this respect. Both of its 8-year successful restoration of the statue of Thousand-hand Bodhisattva in Baoding of Dazu Rock Carvings and the ongoing restoration of reclining Buddha have reached a very high level.

《重慶與世界》：您認為中國和意大利文物保護開展合作的意義在哪里？

賽爾吉奧·卡洛：中國和意大利在這方面擁有非常豐富的資源，兩個最強大的合作方在一起共同討論針對一些文物修復問題的解決方案，這些方案可以同時應用于兩國的文物修復，可以解決雙方都有的問題。同時，這些成果還適用于其他國家在文物保護方面所面臨的問題，中國和意大利在文物保護方面的這種合作可以給全世界文物修復保護提供樣本。

The World & Chongqing: In your opinion, what is the significance of cooperation between experts in China and Italy in the field of cultural relic protection?

Sergio Calò: China and Italy have very rich resources in this regard, and both partners with the strongest ability in this field have jointly discussed solutions to some of the cultural remediation problems. These solutions can be applied to the restoration of cultural relics in both countries and to the solutions for the problems shared by both parties. At the same time, these achievements can also be applied to the problems faced by other countries in the protection of cultural relics. Such cooperation between China and Italy in the field of cultural relics’ protection can provide samples for the restoration and protection of cultural relics worldwide.

《重慶與世界》：根據您在重慶的工作經驗，您認為中國的文物修復專家和意大利的專家是怎樣一種合作關系？

賽爾吉奧·卡洛：我們的合作可以看作是這兩個在文物保護方面強大而又擁有豐富資源國家最優秀的文物保護專家在一起探討解決方案，能夠體現我們雙方的優勢，并經過相互交流找到可以改進的地方。中國和意大利的文物修復工作者應該說是處于一個對等的水平，我們雙方不是老師和學生的關系，而是在同一個層面上共同推動世界文物修復保護的發展。

The World & Chongqing: Based on your experience when working in Chongqing, what do you think is the kind of cooperative relationship between Chinese experts and Italian experts in the field of cultural relics’ remediation?

Sergio Calò: Our cooperation can be perceived as the joint discussion of the solutions participated by the best cultural relic protection experts from both countries with strong cultural heritage protection and rich resources. It reflects the advantages of both of us, and also helps to find ways to improve through mutual exchanges. The workers engaged in the cultural relics repair in both China and Italy should be said to be at an equal level. We are not in the relationship like teachers and students,but the counterparts who both promote the development of the restoration and protection of cultural relics in the world.
