一、教材和學情分析
(一)教材分析
本單元的教學內容是圍繞“shadow”這個主題展開的。故事文本的語言簡單易懂,對于學生理解和運用以至于最后透過現象看本質都有很大的幫助。
(二)學情分析
六年級學生已經積累了大量的詞匯,口語交際能力也比較好,有了一定的閱讀積累量。在本課的教授中,一是通過導讀法幫助學生更快更深入地理解文本。二是結合學生在科學和數學課上的相關知識積累,來幫助他們解決難點。
二、教學目標
(一)知識和能力目標
1.能在教師的指導下,快速、深入有目的地閱讀和理解文本大意,并提取出重點信息。
2.能結合其他學科的相關知識積累,了解影子的相關知識,例如影子長度與太陽高度之間的關系及原因。
3.能夠運用自己的語言完整復述故事內容。
(二)情感目標
能了解與學科內容相關的自然科學知識,培養他們勇于探索、善于思考的好習慣
(三)學習策略目標
通過本課的學習,學生能夠掌握導讀法等常用的閱讀方法,以及培養學生運用實驗法來解決生活中的問題的能力。
三、教學重難點
1.教學重點:通過使用導讀法,深入理解文本,并能提取信息,用自己的語言組合信息,復述故事內容。
2.教學難點:在文本中了解影子的相關知識,如影子的形式以及影子長度和太陽高度的關系與原因這一個科學現象。

復習 1.Encourage students to be more active speaking English in this lesson.
2.Introduce the shadow game to students and explain how to play it. 1.Greetings and getting ready for the lesson.
2.Two students come to the front and make the shape of animals with their hand shadows. Students have a good start of this lesson.

呈現
操練 1.teacher shares with the students the three elements when they read a story--- s setting, some characters and a plot.
2.Listen to the story for the first time and guide them to catch some simple information。
3.Check the answers and make them think why the time is in the afternoon.
4.Deal with the part of plot. For each paragraph, students have a question to finish.
5.Read the paragraphs one by one and check their answers. Make connection with their reading in Chinese lessons so that they know how to read with a purpose.
Students listen to the tape and get the information.
Digging out the key phrases and learn about the two words.
Students read for the second time and answer all the questions.
Students work individually,read one paragraph by one paragraph and check their answers together。 This reading guidance provides a framework of reading an English story.
Setting easy questions before they listen can make them focus .
Students can be more focused on the listening .
The questions can help them deeply understand the story.
This time is for students to read in detail and in depth.
