初中英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的目的是通過(guò)聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫的訓(xùn)練,使學(xué)生獲得英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)和運(yùn)用英語(yǔ)進(jìn)行交際的初步能力。英語(yǔ)教材對(duì)聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫交際功能訓(xùn)練要求比較具體明確,但是在教學(xué)中我們發(fā)現(xiàn)學(xué)生對(duì)聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀的情況掌握比較好,而學(xué)生一提到寫作就頭痛,不知道怎么寫,寫出的句子也是錯(cuò)誤很多。然而在國(guó)際交往中,我們經(jīng)常需要用書面的語(yǔ)言來(lái)表達(dá)思想、傳遞信息;況且寫作的十二分很少有學(xué)生得滿分,甚至很多學(xué)生的試卷上是空白。所以重視寫作能力的培養(yǎng),并采用適當(dāng)?shù)挠?xùn)練方法提高這一能力,便成為教學(xué)中不可忽視的、必須潛心研究的一個(gè)方面。
在寫的訓(xùn)練中,我們往往只注意單詞的抄寫和單個(gè)句子的操練,這是遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)不夠的,因?yàn)檫@不能達(dá)到運(yùn)用英語(yǔ)的目的。我們應(yīng)當(dāng)采取適當(dāng)?shù)挠?xùn)練步驟將單句的寫作和英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)融于整體的寫作教學(xué)中去,從而有機(jī)地培養(yǎng)和提高學(xué)生的寫作能。 針對(duì)初中學(xué)生英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)剛起步的特點(diǎn),本著由淺入深、由易到難、循序漸進(jìn)的原則,寫作的初步訓(xùn)練分為以下三個(gè)步驟:
一、仿寫
仿寫即仿照教科書中的一些有關(guān)內(nèi)容寫一篇類似的短文。舒伯特說(shuō)過(guò),教科書中所編的課文是學(xué)生做素菜的聚居地,是語(yǔ)言現(xiàn)象的展示廳,是語(yǔ)法規(guī)則的剖析席室,是文章體裁的示范本。所以教師在指導(dǎo)學(xué)生英語(yǔ)作文的寫作時(shí),完全可以依托于教材,而且在新世紀(jì)教材的編寫過(guò)程中也很注意課文在寫作中的作用,教師多鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生利用這類似的教學(xué)資源,讓學(xué)生養(yǎng)成仿寫課文的習(xí)慣,用精練簡(jiǎn)潔的表達(dá),化這類資源為己用。如Book 8A Unit 2 Section B-3a有一篇短文,學(xué)生讀了后,就可仿寫一篇題為How to keep healthy的短文。學(xué)生有文可依,又是寫自己所熟悉的內(nèi)容,自然興趣很高,也容易寫好。下面的習(xí)作可說(shuō)明這一點(diǎn)。
As we all know, health is very important for everyone. But how to keep healthy? First, we should have a good diet. Thats eating more fresh fruit and vegetables, but less junk food. Drink more water instead of coke or other unhealthy drinks. Second, its good for us to take more exercise, such as running, walking,playing ball games and so on. At last, we should learn to relax ourselves .We can listen to some light music, chat with families or friends and have a good sleep. Keeping fit is not difficult if you care it a lot.
二、改寫
改寫的方法很多,可以是將對(duì)話改寫成短文,也可以是縮寫課文等,只要學(xué)生將所要求的意思通過(guò)一定的組織后用文字表達(dá)出來(lái)就行。如新目標(biāo)英語(yǔ)Book8B Unit 7 “Would you mind keeping your voice down”的文章,通過(guò)縮寫,學(xué)生既加深了對(duì)課文的理解,又提高了寫作技能,下面就是一段。
“Etiquette” means normal and polite social behavior. It is not the same in every culture or in every situation. For example, standing very close to the person you are talking with is quite common in some Asian countries. However, if you do with in Europe, some people might feel uncomfortable……If we see someone breaking the rules of etiquette, we may politely give them some suggestions.
三、擴(kuò)寫
擴(kuò)寫即用同一題材通過(guò)數(shù)次擴(kuò)展、補(bǔ)充從而完成短文的寫作練習(xí)。這種訓(xùn)練都是在第一次寫作的基礎(chǔ)上,增加內(nèi)容,擴(kuò)充詞數(shù)。因?yàn)槭菍W(xué)生初次運(yùn)用自己的語(yǔ)言寫人寫事,第一次只要求學(xué)生能寫30個(gè)詞左右,以保證寫作的正確性。第二次的寫作練習(xí)是在第一次習(xí)作的基礎(chǔ)上進(jìn)行的,詞數(shù)可由30個(gè)擴(kuò)充到50個(gè)左右,第三次可擴(kuò)至70個(gè)以上的字,最后成文,最終達(dá)到擴(kuò)寫訓(xùn)練的目的。下面試舉一例。
My Hobby
第一次習(xí)作:
Everyone has some hobbies,So do I.I like playing basketball,skating and reading.But my
favorite hobby is reading.Reading makes my life colourful and wonderful.
第二次擴(kuò)寫:
Everyone has some hobbies,So do I. I like playing basketball, skating and reading. But my favorite hobby is reading. I was interested in reading when I was five years old. At that time my mother always asked me to read some storybooks,gradually I found reading is very interesting. Reading makes my life colourful and wonderful.
第三次擴(kuò)寫:
Everyone has some hobbies,So do I. I like playing basketball, skating and reading. But my favorite hobby is reading. I like reading all kinds of articles, such as stories, news reports magazines and so on. I was interested in reading when I was five years old. At that time my mother always asked me to read some storybooks,gradually I found reading is very interesting. ?It cant only let me know a lot of knowledge , but also makes me happy. And I usually do some reading in the evening. Reading makes my life colourful and wonderful.
這樣短文擴(kuò)寫的練習(xí)在選擇題材時(shí)如能有意識(shí)地聯(lián)系課文教學(xué),并注意貼近生活實(shí)際,學(xué)生就有內(nèi)容可寫;一篇短文分次擴(kuò)寫,每次的寫作量也不大,因此可望獲得較高的正確率。由于上述兩個(gè)因素,學(xué)生的寫作興趣容易得到培養(yǎng),經(jīng)常性的訓(xùn)練也不難堅(jiān)持。一周練習(xí)擴(kuò)寫兩次,兩周完成一篇短文的寫作即可。
通過(guò)上述訓(xùn)練,并在每一次作文訓(xùn)練后,展示寫得好的學(xué)生的作文,當(dāng)忙批開(kāi)改學(xué)困生的作文,并要求學(xué)生背誦后默寫好的范文,使課文中的詞語(yǔ)和句型變成學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)技能,并轉(zhuǎn)化成交際性的運(yùn)用,將知識(shí)轉(zhuǎn)化為能力,達(dá)到書面表達(dá)的目的。若能在教師的指導(dǎo)下持之以恒地訓(xùn)練,經(jīng)過(guò)初中幾年的學(xué)習(xí),大多數(shù)學(xué)生都能運(yùn)用所學(xué)知識(shí)寫簡(jiǎn)單的書信、便條,程度好的學(xué)生還能學(xué)寫與課文內(nèi)容相關(guān)的短文。這樣,便不難達(dá)到大綱所規(guī)定的使學(xué)生獲得運(yùn)用英語(yǔ)進(jìn)行交際的初步能力了。也為中考中12分習(xí)作題的操縱奠定了堅(jiān)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。
