On May 18, the 2nd China (Chongqing) Cross-Border E-Commerce Development Summit Forum, co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, and jointly organized by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce and the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, PRC was held at the Chongqing International Convention Center S1 Hall.Guo Tingting, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, Zhang Guozhi, Vice Mayor of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, Carlos Larrea, Ambassador of Ecuador to China,Anyin Choo, Ambassador of Guyana to China, and Marco Balarezo,Ambassador of Peru to China attended the event and delivered speeches.More than 200 guests from home and abroad, including delegates from relevant foreign embassies and consulates in China, representatives of relevant provincial and municipal governments, institutions, business and industry associations, experts in the cross-border e-commerce industry,representatives of key enterprises, were invited to attend the forum, and to delve into the development of cross-border e-commerce industry,exploring new opportunities for Chinese brands to go global.
Guo Tingting noted that Chongqing is one of the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot areas approved by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China in advance.Chongqing has a strong industrial base and unique geographic advantages, with a good foundation for the development of cross-border e-commerce.The CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Chongqing Municipal Government have attached great importance to cross-border e-commerce, introduced a series of supporting policies, and cultivated a batch of excellent crossborder e-commerce enterprises, which have achieved good results.In 2022, Chongqing’s cross-border e-commerce transactions reached RMB40.7 billion, an increase of nearly 28% year-on-year, ranking among the best in Western China.Chongqing has become one of the most dynamic cities for cross-border e-commerce in central and western China.
According to Zhang Guozhi, Chongqing will further advance the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce, focus on business innovation, steadily improve the quality of products, and cultivate more cross-border brands.Chongqing will promote the sustainable development of cross-border e-commerce, guide enterprises to comply with laws and regulations, protect intellectual property rights,and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the customers.Chongqing will also facilitate the coordinated development of crossborder e-commerce, optimize the business environment, and expand the upstream and downstream supply chain, to build a healthy ecosystem for cross-border e-commerce.
5月18日,由中國商務部、重慶市人民政府主辦,重慶市商務委、商務部外貿發展事務局聯合承辦的第二屆中國(重慶)跨境電商發展高峰論壇在重慶國際博覽中心S1館舉行。商務部副部長郭婷婷,重慶市政府副市長張國智,厄瓜多爾駐華大使卡洛斯·拉雷亞、圭亞那駐華大使周雅欣、秘魯駐華大使馬爾科·巴拉雷索出席活動并致辭。相關外國駐華使領館代表,相關省市政府代表、商協會及機構行業協會代表,跨境電商行業專家、重點企業代表等逾200位國內外嘉賓受邀出席,共探跨境電商行業發展趨勢,縱論中國品牌出海新機遇。
郭婷婷表示,重慶是國務院先期批復的跨境電商綜合試驗區之一,工業基礎雄厚,區位優勢獨特,具有發展跨境電商的良好基礎。重慶市委、市政府對跨境電商高度重視,出臺了一系列支持政策,培育了一批優秀的跨境電商企業,取得了良好發展成效。2022年重慶跨境電商交易規模達到407億元,同比增長近28%,在西部地區名列前茅,重慶已成為中西部地區跨境電商最活躍的城市之一。
張國智強調,重慶將進一步推動跨境電商高質量發展,更加注重業態創新,不斷提高產品質量,培育更多跨境品牌;進一步推動跨境電商可持續發展,引導企業遵守法律法規,做好知識產權保護,維護消費者的合法權益;進一步推動跨境電商協同化發展,不斷優化跨境電商發展環境,延伸上下游產業鏈和供應鏈,構建跨境電商發展的生態圈。
卡洛斯·拉雷亞指出,2022年厄瓜多爾總統拉索與習近平主席會晤,雙方強調深化數字經濟、電子商務、互聯網建設等領域投資合作,并強調拉美和加勒比地區在“一帶一路”倡議中的重要性。今年5月11日,厄中簽署自貿協議,中國將成為厄瓜多爾最大的消費品和原材料供應商,必將有助于提高厄瓜多爾工業競爭力。同時,中國電子商務發展和商貿合作機遇也將帶動厄瓜多爾電商領域快速發展。
Carlos Larrea noted that the President of Ecuador Guillermo Lasso had a meeting with President Xi Jinping in 2022.Two leaders emphasized the importance of deepening investment and cooperation in areas like digital economy, e-commerce, Internet,etc.They stressed that the Latin American and Caribbean regions play a significant role in the Belt and Road Initiative.
On May 11, Ecuador and China signed a free trade agreement,which makes China the largest supplier of consumer goods and raw materials to Ecuador.It will inevitably enhance Ecuador’s industrial competitiveness.Meanwhile, the development of China’s e-commerce sector and the opportunities for trade cooperation will also stimulate rapid growth in Ecuador’s e-commerce industry.
Anyin Choo said that e-commerce is reshaping the world’s trade and becoming a propeller for economic transition.The economic and demographic diversification in Guyana has led to an increasing demand for more specialized e-commerce platforms and services.More and more Guyanese people are using Chinese e-commerce platforms to purchase products from China.In the meantime, the development of cross-border e-commerce has also spurred the growth of the domestic e-commerce industry in Guyana,bringing new opportunities to the country.As Guyana’s economy continues to develop, we recognize the importance of fostering cooperative relationships to promote sustainable development based on mutual benefits and the alignment of strengths and needs.
Marco Balarezo noted that e-commerce is transforming business development, and China has emerged as a global leader in this field.With innovative platforms, cutting-edge technologies,and a huge consumer market, Chinese e-commerce has created a highly sophisticated and vibrant digital market.In recent years,the Peru government has taken proactive measures to create a favorable environment for the development of e-commerce,resulting in significant achievements in this area.Peru boasts high-quality textiles, handicrafts, and agricultural products, while China possesses a vast consumer market.He hoped that through e-commerce platforms, trade exchanges can be facilitated, allowing more Peruvian products to enter China.
This forum is a panel session of the China (Chongqing)Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Fair, and the theme is “Digital Transformation Reshaping New Business Opportunities in Cross-Border Trade”.Combining with cross-border e-commerce booths,the forum aims to promote communication and cooperation among stakeholders, share investment opportunities, and facilitate the better development of the cross-border e-commerce industry.

馬爾科·巴拉雷索說,電子商務已經成為商業發展的變革力量,中國已經成為全球電子商務的領導者。憑借創新平臺、尖端技術和龐大的消費者數量,中國電子商務創造了一個高度成熟和充滿活力的數字市場。近年來,秘魯政府采取積極措施為電子商務的發展創造有利環境,電子商務發展取得明顯成果。秘魯有著優質的紡織品、手工藝品和農產品,中國有著巨大的消費市場,希望通過電商平臺促進貿易往來,讓更多的秘魯產品進入中國。
