在現代交通系統的支撐下,高鐵站點及其周邊不再是單一的交通集散空間,而是整合交通、商業、商務、文化娛樂、會展、信息服務的城市新型功能混合區,并成為新的社會經濟與文化交流中心,是重構城市空間結構與展現城市空間特色的重要機遇。一方面,站城地區作為城市重大工程項目,具有塑造新時期城市空間骨架的觸媒作用。然而,目前已經存在的大量新城建設、不斷涌現的各種綜合服務中心、老城中心的更新與復蘇等,如何協同它們之間的平衡發展關系成為站點地區開發的難題。另一方面,站城地區作為與其他城市聯系的門戶,擔負著展示城市空間特色的窗口作用。但以往的規劃設計一味地追求站房的雄偉和標志性,追求廣場或軸線的氣派,缺乏地域和地方的特點,既造成了投資上的浪費,還給旅客的出行帶來了不便,如何協調站點地區與其他地區的尺度、風貌、交通等空間關系也應受到重視。
空間基因研究為以上問題提供了新的解決思路。基于城市尺度的空間基因,可以在城市總體層面上對站點地區及其他地區進行整合和協調,梳理城市整體空間秩序;基于街區尺度的空間基因研究,可以將本土空間組合模式與綜合交通樞紐站房、商業商務地塊、集散廣場、景觀軸線等空間要素有機融合,強化尺度與風貌的控制引導,創造形象與功能兼備的在地性樞紐核心區,由此實現站點地區與城市整體空間效益的雙贏。以下以南京站、南京南站、蘇州站為例進行介紹。□

On the one hand, the station area, as a major urban engineering project, has the catalytic role of shaping the urban spatial structure in the new era.However, how to coordinate the balanced developing relationship between the existing large number of new city construction, the emergence of various comprehensive service centres, and the renewal and recovery of the old city centre has become a complex problem in the development of station areas.On the other hand, as a gateway to connect with other cities, the station area serves as a window to display the characteristics of urban space.However, the previous planning and design blindly pursued the majestic and iconic station buildings,the style of the square or the axis, lacking regional and local characteristics, which not only caused a waste of investment, but also brought inconvenience to the travel of passengers.How to coordinate the spatial relationship between the station area and other areas should also be paid attention to.
The space gene research provides a new way to solve the above problems.Space gene researches based on city scale can integrate and coordinate the station area and other areas at the overall level of the city, and sort out the overall spatial order of the city.Space gene researches based on block scale can organically integrate the local spatial combination model with the spatial elements such as comprehensive transportation hub station buildings, commercial plots, distribution squares, and landscape axes, so as to strengthen the control and guidance of scale and style, and create the core area of local hub with both image and function, thus to achieve the win-win situation between station area and the city's overall space.The following are examples of Nanjing Railway Station, Nanjing South Railway Station and Suzhou Railway Station as examples.□
