Abstract:
Strengthening the construction of the discipline of Chinese national community studies ( hereafter “the discipline”) is considered a necessary measure to strengthen the awareness of the Chinese national community from a single breakthrough to a systematic promotion. This endeavor seeks to normalize its mechanisms of publicity and education, and construct a multi-integrated education platform including classroom instruction, social engagement, and thematic educational initiatives. From the dimensions of politics, economy, culture, and society, the construction of the discipline hopes to contribute to the structural enhancement of the Chinese national community, advance the common prosperity of all ethnic groups in China, enhance the construction of a shared spiritual home for the Chinese nation, and improvement of ethnic unity and progress. This study furthermore holds that it has current relevance in preventing and resolving risks and hidden dangers in the ethnic field, thereby maintaining national unification, ethnic unity, and societal stability. In addition, "this study infers it is necessary to strengthen the construction of the academic system, augment teacher resources, refine talent development mechanisms, and fortify the social service infrastructure. All these are for the purpose of aligning the discipline with the historical task of promoting high-quality development of the Party,s ethnic work in the new era of China and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
What is more, this article also suggests that the discipline of the Chinese national community studies should apply unique theoretical methods and research perspectives, identify focal points in disciplinary construction to strengthen scientific research and provide support for the ethnic work of the Party and the state. Specifically, regarding academic system construction, it is considered necessary to reshape the theoretical system, innovate the discourse system, and augment historical data repositories within the discipline. Another proposal is to cultivate teacher resources by bolstering the teaching team, improve the comprehensive competencies of instructors, and reconfigure the composition of the teaching resources within the discipline. Concerning the construction of a talent training system, it is deemed necessary to judiciously establish disciplinary orientations, scientifically set up a curriculum system of the discipline, and refine pedagogical strategies within the discipline. In the construction of the social service system, it would be necessary to provide think tank support for national strategy, and further promote communication, interaction, and integration among ethnic groups.
Generally speaking, the contemporary value of the discipline of the Chinese national community studie has become increasingly pronounced in the process of socialist modernization construction. Nevertheless, the construction of the discipline still appears to face many challenges. As a result, the characteristics of the cultural community of the Chinese nation, as well as the mechanisms of its political community and the economic community still necessitate intensified research. It is also found that the construction of the discipline of the Chinese national community studies still needs to continuously explore methodologies suitable to its unique parameters, which should be in line with the historical and theoretical logic from practice to theory and vice versa. Ultimately, the study of the Chinese national community should not only enhance its ability to serve national objectives but also enhance its ability to serve regional economic and social development, thereby facilitating the overarching goal of high-quality development of the Party,s ethnic work in the new era.
