首字母填空題是在一篇語義完整的文章中有目的地去掉一些詞，形成空格，但是這些詞的首字母已給，需要同學們仔細閱讀全文，利用上下文所給信息，判斷所缺單詞的詞性、詞義、詞形，綜合各方面因素寫出所缺單詞，使文章信息完整。該題型不僅考查大家對語篇的理解能力，還考查大家在具體語境中的詞匯運用能力。

首字母填空題設空與完形填空題類似，以實詞為主，所考查的詞性主要涵蓋名詞、動詞、形容詞、副詞、介詞以及連詞等。填空時，大家要考慮所填單詞的正確形式，如名詞的單復數，動詞的第三人稱單數形式、現在分詞、過去分詞，形容詞、副詞的比較級等。因此，要做好該題型，大家不僅要正確拼寫出目標詞匯，還需具備相關語法知識，以及根據上下文情境推理判斷的能力

首字母填空題與完形填空答題步驟類似。同學們在做題之前，需先通讀全文，厘清文章大意，根據所在句子語法結構，判斷所填單詞詞性。如“Thereare more and morecars in our city， so p hasbecomeaseriousproblem.”，我們根據該句結構可以判斷所填單詞作主語，而主語通常是名詞、動名詞或代詞，又根據單詞首字母可以推斷，此處應填名詞或動名詞。

同學們還要根據上下文語境，仔細尋找關鍵信息，即起提示作用的詞或句子，根據首字母及關鍵信息提示細致分析橫線處需填單詞的含義，如根據上面句子中的關鍵信息“more and more cars”可以推斷此處可填\"pollution\"或\"parking”。

在確定所填單詞后，大家一定要注意使用該單詞的正確形式，比如，名詞要注意單復數；代詞要注意是主格、賓格還是所有格;動詞要注意時態、語態，是不是非謂語結構；形容詞、副詞要注意是原級、比較級還是最高級等，這些都要結合上下文語境仔細思考。

填完所有單詞之后，大家一定要再細讀一遍全文，從文章大意和單詞拼寫、語法知識等角度再次檢查是否填寫正確，是否符合文章邏輯，認真核對，最后確定答案。

首字母填空對大家來說難度很大，大家除了規范答題外，還需要掌握以下幾個技巧：

1.學會運用詞匯

在學習詞匯過程中，同學們一定要在語境中學習。語境可以是真實的語言使用情境，也可以是課堂中的語言教學情境，最關鍵的是同學們要將語言活動融匯在具體語境中，也就是通過具體的聽、說、讀、看、寫等語言活動學習詞匯。對于課標中的四會詞，同學們不僅要記住它們的音、形、義，還需要知道它們的詞性、構成、用法等。

2.夯實語法基礎

同學們要能夠依據課標要求及教材中的相關內容，夯實語法基礎，如動詞的時態、語態、非謂語動詞，形容詞、副詞比較級，簡單句的五種句式，單詞構詞法知識等，并能夠根據句子結構，在具體語境中正確運用這些語法知識。

3.提升閱讀能力

首字母填空主要考查同學們在理解語篇意義的基礎上對句子結構的把握，對句子與句子之間邏輯關系的識別，以及對詞匯、語法知識的掌握情況。為了做好該題型，大家不僅要具備牢固的語法知識，更重要的是要對語篇意義有正確理解。因此，在平時閱讀訓練的過程中，同學們需要加強語篇分析，弄清句與句之間、段與段之間的邏輯關系，準確理解語篇的意義。
