Ｒｅｃｅｐｔｉｏｎ Ｍａｒｋｓ ３０ Ｙｅａｒｓ ｏｆ Ｃｈｉｎａ－Ｂａｎｇｌａｄｅｓｈ Ｄｉｐｌｏｍａｔｉｃ Ｔｉｅｓ

The CPAFFC and the Bangladeshi Embassy in China jointly gave a reception on August 17 at the Great Hall of the People to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh. Vice Premier of the State Council Huang Ju attended the reception and gave a speech. More than 300 people including leaders of various departments of the Central Committee of the CPC and the State Council， leading members of mass organizations， representatives of the press circles and diplomatic envoys were present. The visiting Prime Minister of Bangladesh Begum Khaleda Zia accompanied by the Bangladesh Cultural Delegation attended the reception， which was presided over by the CPAFFC President Chen Haosu.

In his speech， Vice Premier Huang Ju said， China and Bangladesh enjoy a long history of friendly exchanges. For 30 years of the diplomatic relations， the two sides have maintained high-level visits， enhanced cooperation in the economic and trade field， and worked closely together on global and regional issues. Characterized by mutual trust， mutual respect， equality and sincere cooperation， the China-Bangladesh relationship has become a model of friendly co-existence between countries of different social systems and cultural backgrounds. He stated， China is ready to work together with Bangladesh to deepen cooperation， promote common development， and raise the comprehensive partnership of cooperation to a new high.

In her speech， Prime Minister Khaleda Zia spoke highly of the deep and close friendly relations between the two countries. She emphasized Bangladesh and China have the same stand and her visit is aimed to show the strong determination of Bangladesh to enhance cooperation between the two countries， based on the principle of peace， development and stability. She thanked the Chinese people for giving generous aid to the Bangladeshi people and highly praised China of its great achievements. The Prime Minister hoped to deepen cooperation between the two sides in the economic and trade field， and to expand cooperation to other fields. She reiterated Bangladesh’s adherence to the one-China principle and its full support for China in international affairs.

The Bangladesh Cultural Delegation gave excellent performances at the reception.
