ＮＰＣ Ｓｔａｎｄｉｎｇ Ｃｏｍｍｉｔｔｅｅ Ｖｉｃｅ Ｃｈａｉｒｍａｎ Ｉｓｍａｉｌ Ａｍａｔ Ｈｅａｄｓ ＣＰＡＦＦＣ Ｄｅｌｅｇａｔｉｏｎ ｔｏ Ｒｕｓｓｉａ ａｎｄ Ｐｏｌａｎｄ

A CPAFFC delegation led by Ismail Amat， vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress paid a goodwill visit to Russia and Poland from October 11 to 20 at the invitation of the Russian Centre of International Scientific and Cultural Cooperation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs， the Russia-China Friendship Association， and the Association of Cooperation “Poland-East”.

The 55th anniversaries of the founding of the People’s Republic of China， the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia and the founding of China-Russia Friendship Association fell on October 1， 2 and 5， 2004 respectively. The main purpose of the visit to Russia by the vice chairman and his party was to take part in the celebration activities organized by the Russian side to mark these anniversaries.

Dmitrii Fedorovich Mezentsev， vice chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly， and V. K. Gusev， chairman of the Russia-China Parliamentarians Friendship Group of the Federation Council， met with the delegation on separate occasions.

In Poland， J. Oleksi， speaker of the Sejm (Lower House)， hosted a grand welcoming banquet in honour of Vice Chairman Ismail Amat and his party， and Gadzinowski， chairman of the Poland-China Parliamentarians Friendship Group of the Sejm， met with the delegation.
