Ｔｉａｎｈｕａ Ｃｏｌｌｅｇｅ：ａｎ Ｅｄｕｃａｔｉｏｎ Ｐｈｅｎｏｍｅｎｏｎ

Tianhua College of Shanghai Normal University rose to municipal reputation in March， 2008 at a summit meeting of the city’s education authorities and presidents of higher education institutions in the metropolis. The college was honorably mentioned six times for its achievement in its brief history of three years.

It was no accident that Tianhua College has made such noted progress. The college has a quality evaluation system in place to ensure all the endeavors of its work. There are 128 quantified quality control points and control procedures have been formulated and implemented.

Chen Xinbin， vice president of the college， is an expert of education. He is engaged by the university to administer the college affairs. The board of directors had expected him to work four weekdays at the college. He works six days at the college. The college has a very effective decision-making mechanism.

The faculty is capable and well qualified. The president and the vice president of the college are both Ph Doctors and 40% of the faculty have senior titles of professional posts and 80% have a postgraduate background. The college has favorable policies to encourage retired professors from the university to continue to work at the college. It also has policies to nurture young and mid-aged teachers. These polices are welcomed by the faculty and have maintained the stability of the team.

Tianhua has a very special team of advisors. Advisors are postgraduates and they know how to encourage students to dedicate to academic studies and keep them well disciplined. The associate advisors are former elite soldiers from a group army and a Marine Corps. They supervise regular military training courses on the campus.

Results have spoken aloud for the administration. Since 2006， the collage has won numerous honors in various academic competitions and showed very satisfying success rate in various big examinations.#8194;□
