I suddenly remember there was a song called Hung Up，goes like“every little thing that you say and do，I’m hung up，I’m hung up on you...”so where has the verb “be”gone？I decided to make this clear before Jason’s heart?鄄broken stories.

Jason seemed still furious at my stupid question，shouting at me，“Isn’t that clear？She hung up on me！That means she didn’t want to talk to me anymore on the phone and hung up！What you mentioned in the song that ‘she’s hung up on me’means she has been thinking of me all the time！It’s totally different！You know？”

I understood. The“hung up” in the first“she hung up on me” is a past form of “she hangs up on me”. This certainly has something to do with the telephone. The second“hung up” means“I am hung up on you”. Here it is a passive voice. Oh my Goodness. Only one word appears here，the two sentences are... saying absolutely the two extremely different things. Isn’t that amazing？

Madonna’s song Hung Up，translated in Chinese as chengyu，xinshenbuning，explains the meaning of it directly. It talks about a girl who is missing her lover all the time，“waiting for your call baby night and day，I’m fed up. I don’t know what to do.”

I guess I should slip away before Jason went crazy. He certainly has been hung up on that girl.
