Robot Chef Gets a Boost from Wireless Kitchen
一進(jìn)廚房就頭疼?下班太累不想做飯甲請(qǐng)一位機(jī)器人大廚吧,你就再也不用為做飯的事兒發(fā)愁了!
Gon, put your feet up. A newhousehold robot that keepstrack of the contents of yourkitchen and can learn simpletasks could soon be making you dinner while you relax.
The new robot, developed at the Technical University of Munich, exploits the use of radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags on dishesand utensils in its “Assistive Kitchen” to sidestep some of the object-recognition difficulties that have plagued previous household robots.
“If you want to interpret and understand everyday activities usingvision data, it's very complicated, error-prone, and resource intensive,”says Michael Beetz, who led the research. “If you do it with RFID tags, there is very little sensor information, but it's highly correlated withthe activities you are performing.”“Setting the table is very easilyrecognised from cups and plates disappearing from the cupboard andappearing on the table, and cleaning up later is characterised by the sameobjects disappearing from the table and appearing in the dishwasher,”Beetz says.
