Strengthen Business Compliance Operation

In 1980s when I studied in Germany， I visited Siemens Mu-seum of Siemens， in order to get an understahding of thedevelopment history of Siemens， this century-old brand. Ihave always studied transnational corporations assumingSiemens is an important benchmark. Two years ago， Siemenswas caught in commercial bribery， which made I wondered howsuch a large-scale and century-old brand could commit thatbig corruption. After the case was settled in 2008 in the UnitedStates， I consider why Siemens had this irregular operation andhow it dealt with the irregularities， against the background ofglobalization. In June last year， I visited Siemens headquarterin Germany， and had a talk with compliance department of Sie-mens China when returned to Beijing. Meanwhile， we visitedten plus other multinational companies to learn their experi-ences and practices in compliance.
