International trade, as one of thetroika which drives Chinese growth,has played an important role in Chi-nese economic growth and overalldevelopment since the reform andopening up. The total trade volumealso experienced a substantial growthduring these years. In 2008, the con-tribution of trade to Chinese GDPsurpassed 60%. As a result, Chinesedevelopment relies heavily on theforeign trade. In fact, export-orienteddevelopment model is also the maingrowth pattern for other East Asiancountries. However, trade contributionaccounts for a much higher proportionof the in the development of China,especially when compared with manydeveloped countries. (See Figure 1)
