Im/Ex in April, 2010: First Monthly Trade Deficit in Six Years

On April 10， 2010， General Administration of Customsof the People's Republic of China (GAC) released the profileof China foreign trade import and export in April and thefirst quarter of this year. China's trade balance turned red inMarch with the country's first monthly trade deficit in sixyears. The GAC attributed the March deficit to shrinkingexports of labor-intensive products， surging imports and ris-ing commodity prices.
