The Association aims to enhance friendship between the Chinese and other peoples, further international cooperation, safeguard world peace and promote common development. On behalf of the Chinese people, it conducts friendly contacts and exchanges with friendship-with-China organizations and personages in various countries to gain international sympathy for the Chinese people’s just cause, and works hard in the interest of the country’s total diplomacy, national construction, peaceful reunification and harmonious world. Now, it has close cooperation with more than 300 local friendship associations across the country and formed friendly and cooperative ties with about 500 non-governmental organizations in 157 countries. It is a bridge of friendship for the communication between the people of China and other countries.
The exhibition consists of the following parts: Historical Evolution of the CPAFFC, Early Period of People-to-People Diplomacy, People-to-People Diplomacy in the Special Period, New Period of People-to-People Diplomacy, and All-round People-to-People Diplomacy. Through a great number of precious photos, videos and material objects, it records and displays the development of the people-to-people diplomacy that the CPAFFC has been engaged in the past half a century and the unremitting efforts made by the workers of several generations engaged in the people-to-people diplomacy to create a good international environment needed for the country’s development.
