China needs more than 5 million tons of methanol and its derivatives each year and the demand will increase in the near future. Output of petrol-based methanol and acetic acid has saw rapid increase recently. In order to control atmosphere pollution in urban area， the Government has implemented a lead-free petrol plan， which will lead to development of petro-produced methanol and means a big potential market for methanol. In 2010， China will need 10 million tons of methanol. Development of methanol industry enjoys a promising prospect. Project overview: Jixi Tiansheng Non-metal Ore Co.， Ltd. possesses one bamlite mine. The proved reserve is 38 million tons. The mineral amount is 6.80 million tons. The average grade is 17.43%. It’s the largest bamlite mine in China and even in Asia. The company also has a separating plant with an annual capacity of 20，000 tons of bamlite concentrate. The separating plant serves as a raw material base. The separating plant has advanced equipments and techniques. With high quality and large granularity， bamlite is the best material for producing high-end fire-resisting material. The project is designed to improve added value， increase financial performance， obtain the fine processing and scale of economy， and drive the development of the local economy and relevant industries. Carbon black is the major raw material for rubber products. 90% of the carbon black is used to produce tyre， adhesive tape， rubber tube and other rubber products. Demand for carbon black in China is growing by 5% each year. After completion of this project， it will effectively drive the development of the carbon black industry. According to the 11th Five-year Plan， the annual output of tyre in China may reach 125 million pieces. The annual output of meridian tyre may reach 56 million pieces and about 0.68 million tons of carbon black will be needed each year. At present， the total output of carbon black nationwide only stands at 0.538 million tons. Demand for carbon black in Northeast China is 0.15 million tons， accounting for 18.7% of the total output in China， but the output in Northeast China is as low as 60，000-70，000 tons. Coal reserve in Jixi is nearly 6.5 billion tons. There are 312 coal mines and coking enterprises at present. Coking enterprises in surrounding counties， such as Shuangyashan， Qitaihe and Hegang can supply 0.28 million tons of raw oil each year and sufficient raw material can be provided to carbon black manufacturers. After the project has been put into production， the existing problem of short supply of raw material of meridian tyre can be solved basically.
