閉門造車

1.Once there was a foolish son in a wealthy family.The flatters always said to him，“You are so clever.”從前，有一位很有錢的公子，很愚蠢。愛拍馬的人總是對他說：“你真聰明！”

2.One day，he saw a notice for cart design competition and signed up.一天，他在街上看到國王發(fā)布的馬車設計比賽的通知，就報了名。

3.The son never made a cart.He closed his doors to design the imaginary beautiful cart.Soon his cart was finished.He spent much money decorating it.The cart looked very beautiful.公子沒有造過馬車，他就關著門，在家里設計他想象中的美麗馬車。他的馬車就做好了，他又花錢來裝飾，馬車看起來非常漂亮。

4.On the day，he asked people to carry the cart.Someone asked him，“Why are you carrying it?”“It is for competition，”the son answered.比賽這天，他找人把馬車抬到比賽現(xiàn)場。有人問：“你的馬車為什么抬著走？”公子說：“這是比賽的馬車。”

5.The competition began.The son’s cart fell into pieces when a horse pulled the cart.The king shouted，“The man is foolish enough to make a cart behind closed doors.”The son fled home.比賽開始了，一匹馬拉了公子的馬車，結果他的馬車散架了。國王說：“還有這么笨的人，居然閉門造車！”公子灰溜溜地逃回家了。

寓意：“閉門造車”比喻只憑想象做事情，不顧實際，結果做出愚蠢的事情來。
