As Chinese New Chairman Xi Jinpings wife， Chinas new First Lady， one of the countrys most famous folk singers and a World Health Organization Goodwill Ambassador （親善大使）， Peng Liyuan has long been well known.

作為中國新任主席習近平的妻子，中國新任的“第一夫人”，彭麗媛既是中國著名的民歌歌唱家，也是世界衛生組織的親善大使，長期以來她在中國家喻戶曉。

Different from her predecessors （前任）， she has become a fashion symbol around the world on her first official state visit with her husband when she wore as a trendy （時髦人物）.

與前幾任第一夫人大相徑庭，她隨丈夫的首次正式國事訪問期間，以時尚形象出現， 已經成為了世界的時尚象征。

People guessed that Peng would remain as low-key （低調） as her predecessors — after all， she had chosen to avoid large-scale performances （大型演出） and peoples attention in recent years. Yet Peng was covered extensively by China Central Television （CCTV）and received a full-page spread in the Beijing News when she visited Moscow with Xi.

Pengs life story was a classic inspirational （鼓舞人心的） tale. She joined the Peoples Liberation Army （人民解放軍） at 18 and had already been the top folk singer when she first met Xi in the south-eastern province of Fujian in 1986. She is best known for her 24 years as a singer at the annual spring festival gala （春節聯歡晚會）.

When she got off from her private plane in the first official visit to Moscow， Peng， chose an elegant （優雅的） black coat and ladylike handbag （女士提包） by Chinese fashion label “Exception”， teamed with （搭配；合作） her fresh-faced make-up and understated （低調的） accessories （首飾）. Images of Peng stepping off a plane arm-in-arm with her hus-band， President Xi Jinping， have spread widely on the Internet. Her style is termed （被稱作） by Internet fans as the “Liyuan style”.

在飛機抵達外訪的第一站莫斯科時，彭麗媛身著一件優雅的黑色外套，手上提著的是中國時尚品牌“例外”生產的女士提包， 搭配清新妝容以及低調樸素的首飾。她與丈夫國家主席習近平手挽手走下飛機的圖片在網絡上廣為流傳，網上的粉絲們稱她的著裝風格為“麗媛style”。

這位人民解放軍歌唱家現在經常被拿來與布魯尼（法國前總統薩科齊的夫人）、米歇爾·奧巴馬（美國總統奧巴馬的夫人），甚至是凱特王妃（英國威廉王子的王妃）相比較，她是一個魅力超凡的演唱家，潮流引領者，也是政治世界中的一抹鮮明的亮色。

Renmin University journalism professor Zhong Xin believes there are high expectations that Peng will help her husband convey （表達； 傳輸） a friendly image of China.

中國人民大學新聞學院教授鐘欣認為，人們對彭麗媛可以幫助習近平主席傳遞友好中國的形象有著很高的期望。

“Mrs. Peng is beautiful and popular and because this is the first time she will be unveiled （公開的） in her new public role， she will have a good influence，” she said， explaining that the new First Lady will not only show a positive image of herself， but the president and the entire （整個） country. Peng is expected to engage in （參加） some public activities with other first ladies.
