重慶申基索菲特酒店總經(jīng)理博漢恩感知重慶“重慶正變得越來越國際化”

博漢恩先生是一個靦腆卻又不失風趣的英國人，與他的交談非常輕松愉快，英國人的紳士及儒雅在他身上體現(xiàn)無余，坐在酒店的大堂，博漢恩興致勃勃地講述他與這座城市的故事。

因為工作關系，今年2月，博漢恩來到重慶擔任重慶申基索菲特酒店總經(jīng)理一職，由于此前曾在成都任職，所以，當?shù)弥獊碇貞c工作時，博漢恩沒有表現(xiàn)得特別驚訝。“我知道重慶和成都離得非常近，一直都希望可以有機會來這里看看，現(xiàn)在也算夢想成真了。”當提到用一個詞語來形容重慶時，博漢恩抬頭想了想，說：“我想應該是正在進步發(fā)展的城市，重慶發(fā)展迅速，到處都可以看到在建或者已經(jīng)建好的高樓大廈，園林綠化也越來越多，每一天睜開眼睛都會發(fā)現(xiàn)這座城市在變化，每天都有驚喜發(fā)生。”在博漢恩看來，成渝兩地一個平坦，一個陡峭，但都有各自吸引人的魅力，尤其是這里的人們熱情好客，讓他印象尤為深刻。“有時候我走在大街上，會有一些熱情的當?shù)厝俗哌^來一半中文一半英文地和我交流，滿臉好奇和微笑。”

博漢恩很喜歡重慶美食，在成都工作時已經(jīng)習慣了四川的飲食，來到重慶后便直奔火鍋店，喜愛吃辣的他絲毫不畏懼火鍋里的辣椒和花椒，在當?shù)赝潞团笥训膸ьI下，他嘗到了地道的重慶火鍋，當問到辣不辣時，他笑著一個勁地搖頭，“辣，但是我可以接受。”

作為一個在重慶工作的外籍人士，博漢恩絲毫沒有感覺到語言或文化上的障礙與差異給他工作帶來的困擾，相反卻和員工相處得很和諧。“我曾經(jīng)在11個國家工作過，每一個國家都會有他們的文化和習慣，無論是工作還是生活，我尊重他們的方式，同時也提出自己的意見，我們所做的一切都是對酒店負責，對大家的工作負責，所以這樣的沖突是可以理解并可以調和的。”為了和當?shù)氐膯T工更順暢的交流，博漢恩也在努力學習中文，“雖然我不是一個好學生，中文學得不太好，但我正在試著學好它。”他笑著說道。

閑暇的時候，博漢恩喜歡去重慶周邊的城鎮(zhèn)旅游，武隆、合川、永川等，了解不一樣的重慶。“最近我剛去了淶灘古鎮(zhèn)，四處都是古色古香的舊時建筑，像城堡一樣的古鎮(zhèn)，非常特別。”博漢恩喜歡重慶正是因為這是一座典型的古今結合的城市，有歷史的遺跡存在，有古城的影子，同時又可以感受到摩登大都市的國際氛圍，歷史與現(xiàn)代完美的結合，讓他贊嘆。

雖然來重慶不到4個月，博漢恩很適應在這里的生活，也樂于為這座城市的發(fā)展提出自己的建議。“希望重慶能有更多的國際學校和國際社區(qū)，可以吸引更多的外國友人來到這里發(fā)展，大多數(shù)被派到重慶工作的外籍員工都會擔心子女的教育問題，如果沒有合適的國際學校，也會影響他們來重慶的工作生活。”當提到在重慶生活的外國人，博漢恩也不得不表示，與幾年前相比，已經(jīng)有越來越多的外國人來到中國，來到重慶生活，重慶正變得越來越國際化，“如果工作允許，我也會一直呆在重慶，有更多的時間多多了解這座城市。”

人物簡介：

博漢恩（Blenkharn）在雅高集團的職業(yè)生涯始于1993年，足跡遍布泰國曼谷，日本的成田和東京、新加坡、澳大利亞和新西蘭。博漢恩先生2008年開始在索菲特中國任職，被任命為鄭州索菲特國際飯店總經(jīng)理，2010年至成都萬達索菲特大酒店擔任酒店總經(jīng)理。博漢恩先生先前的國際工作經(jīng)歷包括英國、加拿大、香港、澳門和美國。此外，博漢恩還持有英格蘭牛津布魯克斯大學的酒店管理學位。

Mr.Blenkharn is a shy and humous British, it was fun and pleasant talking to him, listening to him telling his story with the city Chongqing.

Blenkharn came to Chongqing as the General Manager of Sofitel Hotel Forebase Chongqing this February, he was appointed as the General Manager of Sofitel Chengdu, so when he was told to work in Chongqing, he did not act so surprised. “I know Chongqing and Chengdu are very close,I always wanted to see if I got the chance,now it is like a dream come true.”When asked to describe Chongqing in one word, Blenkharn looked up and thought about it, "I think it should be progressive, rapid development of Chongqing,everywhere you can see high-rise buildings that are under construction or already built, more and more green tress,every day you open your eyes you'll find something different in this city, every day is like a surprise. ”In Blenkharn 's view, Chongqing is up-and-down while Chengdu is flat, but both have their own charm to attract people, especially the people here are very hospitable and that he was particularly impressed. “Sometimes I walk on the streets, there will be some passionate locals came up to talk to me in half Chinese and half English with me, all are curious and smiling. ”

Blenkharn likes Chongqing food,he got used to the Sichuan food when he was working in Chengdu, he went straightly to hotpot as soon as he arrived in Chongqing,he is not afraid of the red pepper and pepper. Blenkharn finally tried the authentic Chongqing hot pot with the guidance of local colleagues and friends, when asked about if it's too spicy or not, he laughed and kept to shake his head, "It is hot,but I can accept it. ”

As a Foreigner who is working in Chongqing,Blenkharn doesn't feel language or cultural barriers and differences with his work,instead he gets along well with employees. “I used to work in 11 countries, every country has their culture and habits, whether it is to work or to live here, I respect their ways and present my own views,everything we do is responsible for the hotel and for everyone, this conflict can be understood and reconciled.”In order to communicate more smooth with local employees, Blenkharn is trying to learn Chinese, "although I am not a good student and not learning good, I'm trying to learn it. ”He said with a smile.

In his spare time, Blenkharn likes to travel to the neighboring towns of Chongqing, Wulong, Hechuan,Yongchuan etc, to understand the different type of Chongqing.“Recently I have just been to Laitan acient town, everywhere are quaint old buildings, like a castle town, and very special. ”Blenkharn loves Chongqing because it is a typical combination of ancient and modern city,historical sites with ancient city of shadows, people can feel the atmosphere of modern international metropolis, perfect combination of history and modern times, which impressed him a lot.

Although it has been less than 4 months ever since he came to Chongqing,Blenkharn adjusted to life here, also present his recommendation for the development of the city. “Hope that Chongqing should have more international schools and the international community, it can attract more foreign friends to come here, most of the foreign employees who were sent to work in Chongqing worried about their children's education, if there is no appropriate international school,it also affects their lives and works in Chongqing. ”When asked about foreigners living in Chongqing, Blenkharn also said, compared with a few years ago,there has been a growing number of foreigners come to China and live in Chongqing, Chongqing is becoming increasingly internationalized, "if allowed, I will stay in Chongqing to spend more time to understand this city. ”

Mr Blenkharn has been with Accor since 1993 and with Sofitel Greater China since 2008 when he was appointed as General Manager of Sofitel Zhengzhou International then transferred to Sofitel Wanda Chengdu in 2012.Mr.Blenkharn has working experience in England,Canada,Hongkong,Macau and America.In addition,he received the Hotel Management degree from England Oxford Brooks University.
