ZTE Corporation achieved a wireless data transmission rate of 1 Gbps in a live demonstration at Mobile Asia Expo in Shanghai.Thisrepresentsaglobal breakthrough in thedevelopment of next-generation LTE-A networks.
In the demonstration,ZTEused carrier aggregation technology with four carrier frequencies on the Fband and D band.With carrier aggregation,twoor morecarrier frequenciessharingthesameor different bandsareaggregated intoonechan?nel.This increases peak transmission speed of TD-LTE cells.ZTE used three carrier frequencies in the 2.6 Gband and one carrier in the 1.9 Gband to complete the1 Gbps demonstration.
