2013年12月5-7日,由商務部主辦、外貿發展局承辦的首屆(非洲)中國商品、技術與服務展在埃塞俄比亞首都亞的斯亞貝巴舉行,外貿發展局孫成海局長帶隊出席展會,來自廣東、福建、湖南、山東、浙江、江蘇等十幾個省市的近150家品牌企業參展,展覽總面積7,000平方米。其中,中興通訊股份有限公司、華為技術有限公司、國機集團等15家企業以特裝形式參展,涉及2,000平方米,其他企業以標攤形式參展,共計175個。展會堅持“博中有專”,主要包括電力能源、農業技術、加工制造、交通運輸、工程承包和日用消費六個專區。來自埃塞俄比亞、南非和吉布提等國家的3.4萬余名客商到會。

埃塞俄比亞是聯合國非洲經濟委員會和非洲聯盟總部所在地,人口9,100萬人,為非洲第二,在非洲具有重要的政治和經濟地位。近年來,中埃經貿合作水平不斷提高,中國已成為埃塞俄比亞第一大貿易伙伴和主要外資來源地。過去十年,雙邊經貿合作互利互惠,在深度和廣度上皆有較大發展。埃塞俄比亞政府特別希望展會一方面能帶來中國先進的技術和服務,另一方面能搭建平臺,促進制鞋、服裝等中國勞動密集型產業向當地轉移。主辦方表示,展會無論從名稱還是內容都突出了品牌、技術和服務,對于轉變中國對非外貿發展方式,培育中國對非洲外貿競爭新優勢有積極意義。
展會的聯合承辦方中國機電產品進出口商會以及福建、山東、湖南、深圳等展團紛紛表示,此次展會準備充分、組織得力,公共服務到位。展會組展搭建規格高,客商規模大、質量高,效果大大超過預期,是近年來中國政府在外舉辦效果最好的展會之一。 奇瑞重工股份有限公司在參展首日,就與非盟三個國家的采購商簽署了價值1,637萬美元的貿易合同。根據展后對參展企業的調查問卷顯示,參展企業對展會的好評率達85%以上,三分之一以上的企業明確表示,2014年將繼續參展。據悉,商務部將于2014年11月在亞的斯亞貝巴舉辦第二屆“(非洲)中國商品、技術與服務展”,深化中埃經貿交流。

Fr o m 5 t o 7 D e c e m b e r 2013, the first session of (Africa) China Commodities, Technology Ser vices Expo, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and organized by the Trade Development Bureau (TDB) was held in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. Headed by Chenghai Sun, Director General of TDB , about 150 famous Chinese companies from the provinces of Guangdong, Fujian, Hunan, Shandong, Zhejiang and Jiangsu exhibited in an area of 7,000 square meters and there were 175 booths in total. Major exhibitors included ZTE Group, Huawei, Sinomach, Power Construction Corporation of China, China Gezhouba Group Corporation, Sinosteel Corporation, Chery H.I., Lifan Motors, Weichai Goup exhibited in special design booths, covering 2,000 square meters, other cooperations in standard booths. There were 175 booths in total. The Expo was a comprehensive fair, and featured six industrial sectors, namely power generation, agricultural technology, manufacturing, transportation, construction and commodities. A total number of 34,000 trade visitors came from Ethiopia, South Africa, Djibouti and surrounding areas visited the fair.
In recent years, with ever closer cooperation, China has become the biggest trade partners and a major investment source country to Ethiopia. Taking the year 2012 as an example, bilateral trade volume reached 1.839 billion US dollars, increased by 56.2% than the previous year, among which China’s export volume to Ethiopia was 1.53 billion, and the import from the latter was 300.9 million dollars. Local market embraces huge business opportunities for Chinese commodity manufactures and service suppliers.
C o n c e r n i n g f o r e i g n investment, Ethiopia is now a major destination country of China in Africa. The Ethiopian Government expressed their thankfulness for the host to choose Ethiopia as the exhibition site, and they hoped that through the fair, Chinese products, technology and services would be transported to Ethiopia; and in addition, some labor-intensive sectors in China could be transported to Ethiopia. The organizing committee of the exhibition expressed that the name and the content of the exhibition featured Chinese brands, technology and service, and could contribute to transferring the sino-African trade patterns and increasing the competitiveness of Chinese commodities and technology in Africa.
The co-organizer of the exhibition, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products and many exhibitors observed that the exhibition was well organized, that the booth design was excellent, and that the trade visitors came in large number and were of good quality. With a surprisingly good trade effect, is could be regarded as one of the best self-organized of China overseas.
