The hole exposes your tracks

Most of the calm bivalve mollusks are born masters of hidden, they can hide their whole body under the earths surface. In order to breathe and take in food smoothly at the same time of concealing themselves, they always leave one or two holes which allow water flow in and out freely. Therefore as long as you found these holes you can confirm their locations. The numbers and shapes of the holes are different as the variety changes, but you should pay attention that not all the holes on the beaches are left by bivalve mollusks, they may be created by other marine organisms.
