摘要:針對(duì)智能交通管理系統(tǒng)中的車牌識(shí)別問題,提出應(yīng)用圖像處理技術(shù)對(duì)汽車的牌照進(jìn)行識(shí)別。車牌定位(LPL, License Plate Location)、車牌分割(LPS, License Plate Segmentation)、車牌識(shí)別(LPR, License Plate Recognition)是實(shí)現(xiàn)車牌識(shí)別系統(tǒng)的最主要的三個(gè)部分。先采用HSV模型和RGB模型識(shí)別與分割彩色圖像,并初步定位車牌圖像;再采用radon變換實(shí)現(xiàn)車牌的傾斜校正,用投影法對(duì)車牌進(jìn)行定位和分割;最后通過語音讀出識(shí)別到的車牌信息。通過MATLAB編程進(jìn)行實(shí)驗(yàn)仿真,結(jié)果表明利用圖像處理技術(shù)能夠快速地識(shí)別出汽車牌照,是一種研究車牌識(shí)別的有效方法。

License Plate Recognition Based on Image Processing

Abstract: The application of image processing technique was put forward to identify the license plate aiming at solving the problem of license plate recognition in the intelligent traffic management system. License plate location, character segmentation, and license plate recognition are the most important three parts, which constitute the license plate recognition system. First, using HSV model and RGB model to identify and segment the color image, and preliminary positioning for the license plate image. Then license plate tilt correction was processed by Radon transform, and using the projection method for license plate location and segmentation. At last, read the result of license information recognized. Simulation by MATLAB programming and experiment, the results show that using image processing technology can quickly identify the license plate, and is an effective method to study the license plate recognition.

近年來,我國的經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展迅速,人們的生活水平不斷提高,私家車數(shù)量越來越多,公路交通事業(yè)迅速發(fā)展,交通擁堵和交通事故日益嚴(yán)重,傳統(tǒng)的人工管理方式已經(jīng)越來越無法滿足人們對(duì)交通控制和安全管理的要求。因此,智能交通系統(tǒng)(ITS,Intelligent Transport System)[1]逐漸興起,并成為當(dāng)前交通管理的主要方式,這是現(xiàn)代信息智能化的結(jié)果。智能交通系統(tǒng)運(yùn)用先進(jìn)的計(jì)算機(jī)等技術(shù)將人、車、路有機(jī)地聯(lián)接起來,形成有序的系統(tǒng),該系統(tǒng)的投入使用,在一定程度上改善了交通質(zhì)量,保障了交通安全,極大地提高了交通運(yùn)輸?shù)男б妗?/p>
LPR(License Plate Recognition,車牌自動(dòng)識(shí)別)技術(shù)是智能交通系統(tǒng)中最關(guān)鍵、最核心的技術(shù)。車牌自動(dòng)識(shí)別系統(tǒng)要求在不影響汽車狀態(tài)的情況下,通過計(jì)算機(jī)自動(dòng)采集汽車圖片,對(duì)采集的汽車圖片進(jìn)行圖像處理以及智能算法研究,提取汽車牌照的字符特征,完成汽車車牌的識(shí)別。……
