寫作練習(xí)

假如你叫李華，是一名高三學(xué)生。最近，你的好友王林發(fā)來電子郵件，說他的父母從不讓他做家務(wù)，要求他把心思用在學(xué)習(xí)上，必須考上重點(diǎn)大學(xué)。他對(duì)自己缺乏信心，擔(dān)心辜負(fù)父母的期望，因此向你求助。請(qǐng)根據(jù)下面的寫作提示，給他回復(fù)一封英語(yǔ)電子郵件。內(nèi)容包括：

1 寫郵件的原因；

2 幫他分析問題；

3. 提出幾點(diǎn)建議。

要求

1) 詞數(shù)不少于120（不含已寫好的部分）。

2) 可適當(dāng)增加細(xì)節(jié)，以使行文連貫。

Dear Wang Lin,

I know from your e-mail that you are annoyed these daysbecause your parents expect you to go to a famous university after graduation. I am writing to offer you some advice.

A lot of parents intend their children to go to famous universities, so many of us live under pressure. Actually if we work really hard, we can make enough progress to get into those famous universities. And even if we fail, there is nothing to regret because we tried our best.

I advise you to concentrate on your lessons. Don’t care too much about what others say. Besides, you should believe in yourself. I am sure you will make your dreams come true if you try your best. Finally, why not talk with your parents, letting them know how you feel?

【范文剖析】

1. 第一段言簡(jiǎn)意賅，直奔主題。用兩句話I know from your e-mail that you are annoyed these days because your parents expect you to go to a famous university after graduation. I am writing to offer you some advice. 導(dǎo)入話題，并表明寫作目的。

2. 第二段分析了好友王林當(dāng)前面臨的問題，語(yǔ)言樸實(shí)，分析入情入理。第一句A lot of parents intend their children to go to famous universities, so many of us live under pressure. 說明王林的處境具有普遍性，以打消他的顧慮。第二句Actually if we work really hard, we can make enough progress to get into those famous universities. 陳述壓力帶來的好處。最后一句And even if we fail, there is nothing to regret because we tried our best. 勸解王林正確看待來自家長(zhǎng)的壓力，即使考不上重點(diǎn)大學(xué)，也不留遺憾，因?yàn)樽约罕M力了。

3. 第三段給對(duì)方提出了三點(diǎn)建議。信號(hào)詞Besides和Finally的使用使段落層次分明，銜接緊密。本段使用了提建議的句式：I advise you to do…; You should…; Why not…?語(yǔ)言地道，表達(dá)流暢。

4. 在信的結(jié)尾用l hope you will fnd my advice useful.一句提醒對(duì)方采納自己的建議，不僅突出主題，也使文章的結(jié)構(gòu)非常嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)。

5. 句子亮點(diǎn)

1)復(fù)合句

①狀語(yǔ)從句：because your parents expect you to go to famous universities after graduation；if we work hard；because we tried our best; if you try your best.

②賓語(yǔ)從句：what others say; I am sure you will make your dreams come true.

2)非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞

①動(dòng)詞不定式作賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)：A lot of parents intend their children to go to famous universities；I advise you to concentrate on your lessons.

②動(dòng)詞不定式作狀語(yǔ)：We can make enough progress to get into those famous universities.

③動(dòng)詞不定式作后置定語(yǔ)：There is nothing to regret.

④現(xiàn)在分詞作狀語(yǔ)：letting them know how you feel?

【技巧點(diǎn)撥】

1. 建議信是英語(yǔ)書信的一種。在信中，寫信人針對(duì)收信人提出的某個(gè)問題進(jìn)行認(rèn)真的討論和分析，提出自己的看法和建議，并希望對(duì)方能采納建議，最終解決問題。

2. 建議信的基本結(jié)構(gòu)：第一段陳述寫信的原因；第二段討論和分析問題，陳述利弊，為下文提出建議埋下伏筆；第三段提出合理化的建議；第四段簡(jiǎn)短總結(jié)前文，希望對(duì)方考慮或者采納建議。

3. 寫建議信可能用到的句式

1)第一段導(dǎo)入話題常用的句式

You tell me that you are upset because…I’m writing to offer you some advice on…你告訴我，你不開心是因?yàn)椤蚁虢o你提幾點(diǎn)忠告。

I know from your e-mail that you have trouble in…so I’m writing to make some suggestions.從電郵中，我了解到你在……方面有困難。我寫此信是想給你提點(diǎn)建議。

Here are some tips on…/Here is some advice on…下面是關(guān)于……的一些建議。

I’d like to express my opinion on…我想表達(dá)對(duì)……的意見。

2)提建議的常用句式

Why don’t you do…/Why not…?為什么不……呢？

It would be a good idea to do…做某事是個(gè)好主意

You’d better…你最好……

You should…你應(yīng)該……

You can…你可以……

I suggest/recommend that…我建議你……

If I were you, I would…如果我是你，我就會(huì)……

What/How about………怎么樣？

In my opinion, it is better do…我認(rèn)為，做……更好

3)連接詞和過渡語(yǔ)

to begin with/to start with首先

besides/furthermore/moreover而且

what’s worse/worse still更糟糕的是
