1. enjoyment n. 享受；樂趣

He was in the enjoyment of good health.

他有健康的身體。

Collecting stamps is a great enjoyment to me.

集郵給我很大的樂趣。

（1） enjoy后接名詞或代詞

They are enjoying their dinner.

他們在津津有味地吃晚飯。

（2） enjoy后接動詞的-ing形式

I enjoy listening to light music.

我喜歡聽輕音樂。

（3） enjoy后可接反身代詞（oneself）構成固定搭配enjoy oneself，意為“過得愉快；玩得高興”，相當于have a good time。

I enjoyed myself very much at the party.

我在聚會時玩得很開心。

2. impress vt. 使印象深刻

（1） impress為及物動詞，意為“留下了深刻的印象；使……明白重要性”。

The film impressed me deeply.

那部影片給我留下了深刻的印象。

His words impressed deeply on my memory.

他的話深深地印在我的腦海里。

（2） 其被動式be impressed很常用，后可接with/by。

I was greatly impressed by/with the headmasters speech.

我被校長的發言深深地感動了。

She was deeply impressed by/with the scenery in Guilin.

桂林的景色給她留下了深刻的印象。

（3） 表示“銘刻；使某人牢記某事”用impress sth on/upon sb或impress on/upon sb+that從句。

My father impressed on me the value of hard work.

His parents tried to impress on him that it is necessary to be honest.

他父母盡力讓他牢記誠實的必要性。

3. disappointed adj. 失望的；沮喪的；失意的

（1） be disappointed at/by sth 因……而失望、沮喪

Are you very disappointed at the result of the game？

你對比賽結果是不是很灰心？

I was disappointed by the quality of the wine.

這酒的質量讓我失望。

（2） be disappointed in/with sb/sth 對某人（事）感到失望

I was disappointed with myself.

（3） be disappointed to do sth 做某事感到沮喪

We are disappointed to find the museum closed.

4. disappear vi. 消失

The two children disappeared from our view.

5. move v. 搬家；移動；使感動

Im going to move to Chengdu because teahouses are more popular there.

He wrote a lot of moving letters. I was moved to tears.

move along 移動一下；向前移動

6. cover v. 包含；隱藏；保護；覆蓋

The lectures covered a lot of subjects.

這些講座涉及的主題極為廣泛。

She covered her face with her hands.

她雙手掩面。

Much of the country is covered by forest.

森林覆蓋著這個國家的大片土地。

7. method n. 方法

The difference between the two mens creative methods is enormous.

兩個人在創作方法上南轅北轍。

常用搭配：method （of sth/doing sth）

This is a new method of solving problem.

8. amazing adj. 令人驚異的

amazed adj. 感到驚訝的

We were amazed that he refused to help us.

9. bored adj. 厭煩的；厭倦的

常用搭配：be bored with sb/sth/doing sth

He is never bored with teaching.

他對教學工作從不感到厭煩。

The children quickly got bored with staying indoors.

10. information n. 信息

information為不可數名詞，單復數同形。a piece of information表示“一則消息”。

常用搭配：information on/about sb/sth

Pat refused to give her any information about Sarah.

帕特拒絕向她提供任何關于薩拉的消息。

Each centre would provide information on technology and training.

每個中心都會提供技術與培訓方面的信息。

11. look forward to 期盼；盼望

look forward to后面只能跟動名詞或名詞，而且常用be looking forward to表示“一直在期待”。

I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

我一直期待能很快見到你。

I look forward to your reply.

我期盼著你的回復。

12. be divided into... 被分成……

The apple was divided into three pieces.

這個蘋果被分成三份。

13. take part in 參加

Will you take part in the English evening？

你將參加英語晚會嗎？

We should take an active part in school activities.

我們應該積極參加學校的活動。

比較：take part in，join和join in的區別

（1） take part in指參加群眾性活動、會議、勞動、游行等，著重說明句子主語參加該項活動，并在活動中發揮作用。

Well take part in social practice during the summer vacation.

暑假期間我們將參加社會實踐。

We often take part in physical labor.

我們經常參加體力勞動。

（2） join多指參加組織、團體、黨派等，后面跟人時表示和某人一起參加某項活動。

I will never forget the day when I joined the Party.

我永遠也忘不了入黨的那一天。

Will you join us for dinner？

和我們一起吃晚飯好嗎？

（3） join in指參加某項游戲或活動，可構成join in （sth/doing sth），或join in （with sb/sth）。

Will you join in the discussion？

你參加我們的討論嗎？

I wish he would join in with the other children.

但愿他能跟別的孩子一塊玩。
