On July 2nd， some 4，000 years old fabric fragments unearthed from the Shimao Ruins， Shenmu County， Shaanxi Province were exposed to the public， which means our ancients who lived in Northern China had leaned the technique of textile weaving thousand years ago.

According to the initial identification， archaeologists identified ramie fiber as the raw material of these fabric fragments， which indicates that Shimao people had already been aware of growing ramie on the purpose of textile weaving 4，000 years ago. This discovery has a historical significance of exploring Chinese clothing， and further confirms the assumption of “Northern linen while Southern silk” in Chinese textile history.

The Innovation and Technology Symposium organized by the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel （HKRITA） and co-organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council was held on July 7th at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center， stimulating a series of interactive discussions on upgrading technologies and innovative possibilities.

The highlight of the Symposium was a Memorandum Signing Ceremony which demonstrated the importance of synergies through collaboration. HKRITA signed memorandum of understanding with three partners， namely CSIRO， University of Oregon and Wuhan Textile University. The partnership will delve on research collaboration on areas like fiber optimization， sports management and high-performance sportswear development.

On July 15th， “One Belt and One Road” China—Malaysia Business Dialogue was held in Beijing. The Dialogue， which was hosted by China Economic Cooperation Center and Malaysian Chinese Association， mainly discussed six topics， such as “One Belt， One Road” and China-Malaysia cooperation， investment and trade-pillars， financial innovation-driving force， SMEs-active promoter， infrastructure-priority areas of “One Belt， One Road” initiative， and “Internet+”— new drive for reform and development， to seek a better way to deepen the cooperation in economy and trade between two countries.

On July 17th， Zhejiang TV Channel welcomed back The Voice of China Season Four， one of the most expected music shows in 2015. In this season， Suning.com cooperates with The Voice of China again， continued designing and customizing garments for the singers. On July 20th， officially authorized by the global music superstar Taylor Swift， JD.com announced that it has been approved for selling Taylor Swift clothing as the Chinas first online store. In this August， a new collection of womenswear designed by Taylor Swift and her partner Heritage66 Company will be available on JD.com， including womens shirts， hoodies， and tops. Herein， some fashions are especially designed for Chinese women and exclusively on JD.com.

Taylor Swift is a seven-time Grammy Award winner， and the youngest recipient in history of the music industrys highest honor， the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. “JD.com is simply the one and only e-commerce site where shoppers in China can be assured they will get only authentic Taylor Swift products that meet the high quality standards her fans deserve，” said Mark McDonald， chairman of Heritage66 Company， “We are excited to unveil a Taylor Swift Fashion line exclusively on JD.com later this summer.”

Consisted of Textile USA， Home Textiles Sourcing Expo （HTSE）， and International Apparel Sourcing Show （Apparelsourcing） ， the New York Shows is a must attend show for worldwide designers， importers and garment manufacturers for fabric sourcing and inspiration.

In this summer， the New York Shows （2015） organized by China National Textile and Apparel Council （CNTAC） and undertaken by the Sub-Council of Textile Industry， CCPIT and Messe Frankfurt （USA） Ltd was unveiled on July 21st at Javits Convention Center， in New York city. The 3 days show has attracted over a thousand exhibitors from over 20 countries and areas， including China， USA， India， Pakistan， Turkey， Columbia， and Italy. The total exhibition area is nearly 30，000 square meters， which increased by 27.8%.
