Technology spawns commercial value

In late June， the Forum of Fabrics China Technological Innovation Alliance was held in Shishi City， Fujian province. As a part of the 17th National Symposium on New Textile Products， the forum， sponsored by Fabrics China， discussed mainly about the development， promotion， and cooperation of YILON which is owned by Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fibre Company Limited.（YCF）. About 100 representatives from Fabrics China， YCF， SINOPEC， and relevant enterprises attended it.

To touch the customers raw nerves

Li Binhong， the director of Fabrics China， noted that the aim of Fabrics China Technological Innovation Alliance is to invert the technological value of new materials into truly visible and touchable commercial value through cooperating with brands of spinning， weaving， dyeing and finishing， garment， and home textile， so as to catch the customers raw nerves.

She also pointed out three crucial factors affecting the cooperation， which are listed as following：

To rely on demand orientation.

By the current view， lots of techinnovations just pay full of attention to the research of technology itself， but not the customers pain-point. Hence， the cooperation should start from the life style of consumers， and the terminal design of brands.

To seek for collaborative innovation.

From new fibres to new products， the research process of cross-industry-chain plays the role as a bridge to connect enterprises in up- and downstream sectors. Dear you sitting here are the elites from the companies with mature relevant techs， marketing channels， and persistent innovation spirit as well. While the golden season for promoting fabrics is on the INTERTEXTILE in October， and I believe on the basis of the alliance， partners cooperate together to make thing goes well from up-to downstream chains to achieve key points of products.

To respect science.

The characteristics of new fibers need to be analyzed； in the face of the technological problems， scientific way is the right decision to solve them.

YCF and his YILON

About YCF： history witnesses the spirit of “self-improvement， pragmatic attitude， innovation”

Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fibre Company Limited （YCF） and its subsidiary is one of the largest modernized manufacturing station of chemical fibre and chemical fibre raw materials in the Peoples Republic of China （PRC）. In terms of polyester capacity in 2010， the Group ranks the sixth largest polyester manufacturer in the world.

The Company was located in Yizheng City， Jiangsu Province， and was established on 31 December 1993. The Company is principally engaged in the production and sales of polyester chips and polyester fibre， and production of its raw materials purified terepthatic acid（PTA）. Its principal activities include production and distribution of chemical fibre and petrochemical products， production of ancillary raw materials and textile machinery， research and development in textile technology， transportation and technological support for products manufactured by the Company.

The Company was a major construction project under the PRCs Sixth to Tenth Five-Year Plans. Its production facilities were imported from Germany， Japan， Italy and France etc. The Companys technology has reached an advanced level in the polyester industry through continuous technological improvements. The quality system of the Companys products received an international certificate in respect of ISO9001， and its product quality commands a leading position in the industry. The Company also received an international certificate in respect of ISO14001 environmental management system. At the end of 2010， the Group owned polymerization facilities with an annual capacity of 1，754，000 tonnes， solid-state-polymerization（SSP） facilities with an annual capacity of 455，000 tonnes， spinning and drawing facilities for polyester fibre with an annual capacity of 747，000 tonnes， texturing facilities for polyester filament with an annual capacity of 69，000 tonnes， oxidation and purification facilities for PTA with an annual capacity of 1，000，000 tonnes and ancillary public utility facilities， which had a great advantage on the economies of scale.

About YILON： the ideal raw material for innovative products

YILON is a new generation of synthetic fiber， which belongs to YCF. The product owns not only the characteristics of polyester— anti-crease， type-keeping， easily rinsable， and fast drying， but also the ones of cotton— soft， comfortable， and anti-pilling.

This new product， with all these above advantages， could take some weigh of cotton used in textile products， and also could be regarded as the outcome of polyesters upgrading and updating.
