基本語法

1. 如何提建議

可以用Why dont we / you do sth？來提出建議，表示“何不…？”。縮略形式： Why not do sth？

Why dont we stay here another day？

我們為什么不在這兒再待一天呢？

Why not meet at the school gate at eight？

何不在八點的時候在校門口集合？

2. 連詞 until、so that、 though 的用法

（1）until

until表示“直到…為止”。

a. until用于肯定句中， 謂語動詞只能是延續性動詞； 表示動作或狀態的持續。

b. until引導時間狀語從句， 當主句用一般將來時時， 從句一般用一般現在時代替， 即“主將從現”。

c. not until（與否定詞連用）直到…之前，直到…為止

The hot weather lasted until September.

I will stay here until he comes.

我會等到他來為止。

I didnt wake up until I heard the alarm clock.

直到聽到鬧鐘的鈴聲我才醒來。

（2） so that

so that 用來引導目的狀語從句， 意思為“以便， 為了”。 so ... that ...用來引導結果狀語從句。

He got up early this morning so that he could catch the early bus .

今天早上他早起，以便能趕上早班車。

He got up so early this morning that he caught the early bus .

今天早上他起得非常早，這樣就趕上了早班車。

（3）although / though

although的意思是“盡管，雖然”，用來引導讓步狀語從句，在一般情況下可以和though互換，但though比較口語化。而although較為正式，另外although的語氣比though重。當although / though引導的從句放在句首時，主從句之間要用逗號隔開。

Although I gave him some advice， he didnt take them.

雖然我給了他一些建議，但他沒有采納。

Although its raining， they are still working in the field.

雖然在下雨，但他們仍在地里干活。

Although he tried hard， he was not successful.

注意：although和though都不能和but在同一個復合句里連用。
