8月發布的展覽業經濟效益研究報告顯示,2014年,香港展覽業帶動當地直接經濟效益為68億美元,帶動間接消費為香港2014年度GDP的2.3%。相關數字顯示,展覽業對當地帶來的經濟效益與2012年上次調查相比呈現穩步攀升。
Findings from the latest Economic Impact Study reveals that the exhibition industry contributed an impressive HK$52.9 billion(US$6.8 billion) directly and indirectly to Hong Kong’s economy in terms of expenditure, equivalent to 2.3% of the city’s total GDP for the calendar year 2014. This represents strong positive growth by comparison with the figures from the previous Economic Impact Study, covering 2012.

Koelnmesse Ausstellungen and the group’s foreign companies have made up considerable ground these last few years. The group’s financial statement for 2015 reads as follows: 321.2 million euros sales, 36.7 million euros profit, a healthy increase in in-house and guest events. For the next four years, the company expects an average sales revenue of above 300 million euros, assuming stable economic development.

Messe Frankfurt has presented its 2015 Annual Report, which contains new records for all key financial and event figures. Messe Frankfurt Group sales reached a new high of approx. €648 million, while annual net income hit €38.2 million. There were 133 trade fairs and exhibitions worldwide with approx. 90,800 exhibitors. The company generated more than 38 percent of the sales outside Germany. The importance of international business will continue to grow, not least as a result of ongoing globalisation and changing production and trade flows.

In a seafood expo in Lebnon in September, about 2,613.8 kilograms of seafood was exhibited, which marked the Genis World Record of exhibitions of this kind. The organizer used 10 tons of ice on the site for preserving the exhibits.
