2016 CHINA FOREST TOURISM FESTIVAL

2016中國森林旅游節

Period: 24th - 26th Sep.

The festival will include a series of activities such as exhibitions on China's forest tourism resources, Changbai Mountains International Eco Forum, and a forest marathon. Through the display of China's abundant forest resources, the festival is set to attract tourists to nature and increase people's awareness of environment protection.

本次旅游節主要包括全國森林旅游風光展示、中國森林馬拉松賽事、2016長白山國際生態論壇等八項活動，通過展現我國林區豐富資源，激發人們走進森林、體驗自然的熱情，培養人們尊重自然、保護自然的情懷。

THE 73RD VENICE FILM FESTIVAL

第73屆威尼斯電影節

Period: 31st Aug. - 10th Sep.

The 73rd annual Venice International Film Festival took place from 31st August to 10th September, 2016. Director of American Beauty and Road to Perdition, Sam Mendes, will serve as the President of the Jury for the main competition. The attentiongrasping fi lm La La Land at Cannes Film Festival will kick off the festival as the opening fi lm.

本屆威尼斯電影節群星薈萃，主競賽單元片單中的不少影片都可圈可點。在戛納電影節備受矚目的《愛樂之路》為本屆電影節的開幕影片,曾指導《美國麗人》《毀滅之路》的英國著名導演薩姆·門德斯擔任評審團主席。

1. RED BEACH, PANJIN CITY, LIAONING PROVINCE

遼寧盤錦紅海灘

Every September along Panjin Red Beach, green seaweed will gradually turn red and purple, becoming a hundred mile long scarlet carpet on the seashore. Nearby, the over 20 km2 wet land that grows dense reed beds is the habitat of rare birds including redcrowned crane.

2. RED LEAVES, MIYALUO NATURE RESERVE, SICHUAN PROVINCE

米亞羅紅葉

As China's largest open scenic region for watching red leaves, Miyaluo has the most spectacular scenes and has attracted a lot of photographers. Rather than having one single red colour, the leaves in Miyaluo region have rich subtleness, with yellow, purple, orange, and green mixed in between.

3. BASHANG GRASSLAND, HEBEI PROVINCE

河北壩上草原

With the shortest distance to Beijing, Bashang Grassland has earned the name of “No.1 Grasslands to the North of Beijing.” Septemb er is a good time to visit Bashang as the leaves start to changing colour. During September the grasslands are rich with autumn colours woven with different tints of trees, which makes oilpainting like scenes.
