1. enjoyment n. 享受；樂(lè)趣

He was in the enjoyment of good health.

他有健康的身體。

Collecting stamps is a great enjoyment to me.

集郵給我很大的樂(lè)趣。

（1） enjoy后接名詞或代詞。

They are enjoying their dinner.

（2） enjoy后接動(dòng)詞的-ing形式。

I enjoy listening to light music.

我喜歡聽(tīng)輕音樂(lè)。

（3） enjoy后可接反身代詞（oneself），構(gòu)成固定搭配enjoy oneself，意為“過(guò)得愉快；玩得高興”，相當(dāng)于have a good time。

I enjoyed myself very much at the party.

我在聚會(huì)上玩得很開(kāi)心。

2. impress vt. 使印象深刻

（1） impress為及物動(dòng)詞，意為“留下了深刻的印象；使……明白重要性”。

The film impressed me deeply.

那部影片給我留下了深刻的印象。

His words impressed deeply on my memory.

他的話深深地印在我的腦海里。

（2） 其被動(dòng)式be impressed很常用，后可接with/by。

I was greatly impressed by/with the headmasters speech.

我被校長(zhǎng)的發(fā)言深深地感動(dòng)了。

She was deeply impressed by/with the scenery in Guilin.

桂林的景色給她留下了深刻的印象。

（3） 表示“銘刻；使某人牢記某事”用impress sth on/upon sb或impress on/upon sb+that從句。

3. disappointed adj. 失望的；沮喪的；失意的

（1） be disappointed at/by sth 因……而失望、沮喪

I was disappointed by the quality of the wine.

（2） be disappointed in/with sb/sth 對(duì)某人（事）感到失望

4. disappear vi. 消失

The two children disappeared from our view.

5. move v. 搬家；移動(dòng)；使感動(dòng)

6. cover v. 包含；隱藏；保護(hù)；覆蓋

7. method n. 方法

常用搭配：method （of sth/doing sth）

8. amazing adj. 令人驚異的

amazed adj. 感到驚訝的

10. information n. 信息

information為不可數(shù)名詞，單復(fù)數(shù)同形。a piece of information表示“一則消息”。

常用搭配：information on/about sb/sth

Pat refused to give her any information about Sarah.

帕特拒絕向她提供任何關(guān)于薩拉的消息。

Each centre would provide information on technology and training.

每個(gè)中心都會(huì)提供技術(shù)與培訓(xùn)方面的信息。

11. look forward to 期盼；盼望

look forward to后面只能跟動(dòng)名詞或名詞，而且常用be looking forward to表示“一直在期待”。

I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

我一直期待能很快見(jiàn)到你。

I look forward to your reply.

我期盼著你的回復(fù)。

12. be divided into... 被分成……

The apple was divided into three pieces.

這個(gè)蘋(píng)果被分成三份。

13. take part in 參加

Will you take part in the English evening？

你將參加英語(yǔ)晚會(huì)嗎？

We should take an active part in school activities.

我們應(yīng)該積極參加學(xué)校的活動(dòng)。

比較：take part in，join和join in的區(qū)別

（1） take part in指參加群眾性活動(dòng)、會(huì)議、勞動(dòng)、游行等，著重說(shuō)明句子主語(yǔ)參加該項(xiàng)活動(dòng)，并在活動(dòng)中發(fā)揮作用。

Well take part in social practice during the summer vacation.

暑假期間我們將參加社會(huì)實(shí)踐。

We often take part in physical labor.

我們經(jīng)常參加體力勞動(dòng)。

（2） join多指參加組織、團(tuán)體、黨派等，后面跟人時(shí)表示和某人一起參加某項(xiàng)活動(dòng)。

I will never forget the day when I joined the Party.

我永遠(yuǎn)也忘不了入黨的那一天。

Will you join us for dinner？

和我們一起吃晚飯好嗎？

（3） join in指參加某項(xiàng)游戲或活動(dòng)，可構(gòu)成join in （sth/doing sth），或join in （with sb/sth）。

你參加我們的討論嗎？

I wish he would join in with the other children.

但愿他能跟別的孩子一塊玩。
