On August 16th， overseas jounalists and mainstream journalists in Chongqing started to visit Wuxi county organized by Chongqing Municipal People's Government Foreign Affairs Office. In this 4-day long investigation， the delegation has visited Lanying canyon， Ningchang ancient town， and Hongchiba National Forest Park. The delegation has also learned about Zhongliang village's country development and local culture of Wuxi county. The distance between Chongqing and Wuxi is 426 kilometers， it takes about fi ve hours by driving.

Three lmportant Elements of Wuxi Tourism

On 17th Aug， the delegation has attended the meeting of operation reporting to know about Wuxi county. Li Xingshu， the Standing Committee Member of CPC in County Committee， Executive Vice County Mayor， and government spokesman， introduced Wuxi county's fundamental information. In terms of Li and Xiang Bing， the Executive Vice County Mayor， Wuxi would build up tourism industry as its priority for the Poverty Alleviation Program. Demonstrated from Li and Xiang， they think ecological environmentis the foundation， revolution is the action， enrich the people and build up the county is the purpose. Wuxi tourism needs to play these three important elements： ecological environment， mountain-water sight-viewing， and culture. One great tourism must have good culture base， the Wu culture is the soul of Wuxi tourism.

Ningchang Ancient Town： the Origin of Salt Culture

Ningchang ancient town is the symbol of “salt culture， Wu culture， and madicine culture”， which has 5000 years history of producing salt and stilted buildings as its features. The whole town is 3.5 kilos long， named as “Half Street in 7 kilos”， which is the first lot of Chongqing renowned historical cultural town and the capital of Wuxian Country in Tang Dynasty. In the town， sight-viewing， culture， and history are perfectly matched as one.

Members of delegation were invited to have a taste of the salt spring， some of them felt that spring was different from ocean water， it was salty but cool. The delegation has taken a photo in front of the salt spring's dragon headstream.

Lanying Canyon： The Manigfient Mountain View

Driving to the Lanying canyon in Lanying village of Wuxi county， the delegation has taken look of the manigfient mountain view. The hill was high， the valley was deep， the peaks were steep and arduous， and the view was serenely and peaceful. According to the tour guide， the whole mountain would turn to red with maple leaves in October， and the view would be even better in autumn. The delegation saw the secenic spots of “Turtle Seizes the Moon” and “The Goddess of Lanying”.

In the noon， the delegation had a lunch in local village to taste the local food. The local people in Lanying were honest and kind， the farm pot boiled chicken had suffused an exquisite fragrance all around， diversity of potato dishes glut members of delegation with delicacies.

Hongchiba National Forest Park： Like the Paradise

There is 84 kilos from Wuxi county to Hongchiba National Forest Park， it takes about 2 hours by driving， the mountain roads were stretching and undulating.The delegation came to Hongchiba， which named as “Chinese New Zealand”， the first spot in eyes was “Ocean of Blossom”. Compared with the super hot 40 degree temperature down-hills， Hongchiba's yearly average temperature was 7.1 degree， the top temperature was about 29.5 degree， it was a truly paradise for summer resort. Thanks to the high elevation between 1800 to 2800 kilos， Hongchiba is building up the ski fi led.

The special and advantaged tourism resources bring energetic development to Wuxi county. The person in charge of local tourism introduced that bunch of programs are developing in plan， it including Hongchiba outdoor sports center， fi ve-star hotel and resort， organic agricultural industry， and ski fi led.

On 19th Aug， the 4-day long investigation ended， the delegation back to Chongqing. During the investigation， overseas and local mainstream journalists have learned about Wuxi county's construction development， tourism development， and enjoyed the beauty of local scenic spots.
