定位

中國國際友好城市聯合會成立于1992年，由中國人民對外友好協會發起，是中華人民共和國具有獨立法人資格的全國性非營利社會團體。

宗旨

作為中國人民對外友好協會的姐妹組織，本會竭誠為會員提供服務，我們的宗旨是發展國際友城、推動務實合作、奉行和平外交、服務地方發展。

成員

凡是建立了友城關系的地方都是我們的會員。目前會員包括中國全部31個省、自治區和直轄市，以及近500個主要城市（不包括臺灣省和香港、澳門特別行政區）。隨著友城關系的不斷建立，我們的會員將會不斷擴充。

特色

本會致力于服務中外地方政府在平等、互利、自愿基礎上建立友好城市關系；組織地方政府代表團參與國際交流，建立中外城市、國際組織交流平臺和機制，舉辦專題論壇、展覽演出等活動。

成果

中國自1973年開展友好城市活動以來，對外結好工作取得不斷進展。多年來，中國國際友好城市聯合會與世界各城市在多個領域開展了富有成效的合作與交流。本會在推動中外友城發展的同時，努力發展同各國友好城市組織和有關國際機構的友好合作關系。我們的合作伙伴遍及亞洲、歐洲、非洲、美洲和大洋洲，并與多個國家、地方政府組織開展務實合作。

Introduction

China International Friendship Cities Association (CIFCA) was set up in 1992 under the sponsorship of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). It is a non-profi t national civil organization of the People's Republic of China with the status of a legal entity.

Mission

CIFCA, a sister organization of CPAFFC, makes efforts to provide services to its members. The mission of CIFCA is to develop international friendship-city/province relations, promote practical cooperation, implement foreign policy of peace and serve regional and local development.

Membership

Provinces & cities which have established friendship-city/ province relations with their foreign counterparts become members of CIFCA. Up to now, nearly 500 Chinese cities and all 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government (not including Taiwan Province, Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions) have joined CIFCA. And the number is increasing as more and more friendship-city/province relations forged in China.

Functions

CIFCA works to provide guidance for the establishment of friendship-city/province relations between Chinese regional and local governments and their foreign counterparts on a voluntary basis of equality and mutual benefi t; and carry out international cooperation by dispatching regional and local government delegations, establishing exchange platforms and mechanisms for Chinese and foreign cities and international organizations, hosting forums and sponsoring performances and exhibitions.

Achievements

Ever since 1973 when China launched the friendship-city/ province activities, remarkable progress has been made in the development of friendship-city/province relations. Over the past several decades, CIFCA has carried out fruitful exchanges and cooperation in various fields with its international counterparts. While advancing the development of friendship-city/province relations, CIFCA works hard to develop relationship of friendly cooperation with friendship-city/province associations and international organizations. Up to now, CIFCA has established cooperative partnership with its counterparts in Asia, Europe, Africa, America and Oceania, and carried out pragmatic cooperation with various countries, regional and international organizations.

CIFCA serves as a bridge for regional and local government cooperation between China and other countries.
