On 5 to 7, December, 2016, sponsored by China Council For The Promotion Of International Trade (CCPIT) and organized by China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), the 4th China Trade Week (UAE) was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Chinese Ambassador to the UAE Jian Ni, officials from UAE Ministry of Economy attended the Opening Ceremony and gave speeches. Commercial Councilor of the Chinese Embassy in UAE Song He, CCOIC Deputy Director Rui Wang, and Chief Representative of CCPIT in the Gulf Region Xijing Zhang, among about 200 delegates from bilateral governmental agencies, chambers of commerce, press, and exhibitors, attended the Opening Ceremony.
Ambassador Jian Ni gave full recognition to the abundant fruit of China-UAE trade in the past 30 years and pointed out that the progressing of One Belt One Road initiative and the opportunities presented by 2020 World Expo in Dubai, both counties will enjoy even greater potential in innovation, infrastructure building, real estate, tourism, industry products and more fields.
Established in 2013 and officially given the current name, China Trade Week (UAE) was previously held for three editions. This year, the exhibition space increased at 65% to be 6,600 square meters. A total of 300 Chinese companies from Jiangsu, Anhui, Guangdong, Hong Kong SAR and other provinces in China attended to showcase products in a wide category of high-end artworks, hand crafts, alternative energy products, electronic goods, toys, gifts, furniture, building materials and dietary supplement.
