“做你自己”系列活動：頌揚內在能量 助力女性共享未來

“聽她們的故事，想自己的人生”首場活動在成都舉辦。

早在2016年3月，英國駐華使領館就在全國范圍內啟動“做你自己—助力女性共享未來”的系列活動，希望通過這些活動加強中英合作，推動性別平等，鼓勵女性發展并積極參與到社會和經濟發展的各個領域，從而幫助她們實現自我理想和社會價值。在過去的一年中，英國駐渝總領事館在成都、貴州、昆明以及重慶舉辦了多場“做你自己—助力女性共享未來”系列活動（以下簡稱“做你自己”活動），將成功女性聚集起來，分享各自的工作、生活心得。正值三八婦女節來臨之際，英國駐渝總領事館將延續這個以女性為話題的性別平等活動，在2017年繼續展開豐富的文化交流與分享。

“Be Yourself（做你自己）”系列活動旨在頌揚女性內在能量、鼓勵女性“想你所想，做你想做”、充分發掘潛能。英國駐重慶總領事館在成都舉辦的三場“聽她們的故事，想自己的人生”系列分享會正希望通過分享身邊女性嘉賓的故事，傾聽有著不同成長環境、教育背景和性格天性的她們，在面對“創業”“二胎”和“女性自我”等問題的時候所經歷的自我評估、心歷路程與最終選擇，從而引發大家更多的對于“Be Yourself（做你自己）”的思考。英國駐華大使吳百納女士希望能夠通過“做你自己”的活動，與全中國的成功女性一起為性別平等盡一己之力。

在中國，女性在職場、家庭和社會中所扮演的角色已經與半個世紀前大不相同。她們步入職場高層，甚至創業，獲得許多男人也無法觸及的成功。同時，她們還勇敢地繼續扮演著盡職母親的角色，尋找著職業女性和母親這兩個角色之間的平衡。今天的女性，她們需要面對各種挑戰、壓力，以及社會影響力，究竟是什么讓她們作出了不同的選擇？面對社會迅猛發展所帶來的大量信息與機會和新舊更替所產生的興奮與焦慮，女性應該如何從心理和技術層面做好迎接改變和挑戰的準備，從而平衡自己的社會與家庭角色，以及內心與外界的和諧，最終達成自我完善和成長。

2016年11月，英國駐重慶總領事館總領事艾佩詩女士曾到貴州參觀貴州婦聯推動的少數民族婦女發展項目—錦繡計劃，在貴安新區婦女創業就業基地“竹葉布依服飾有限公司”看婦女積極學習民族手工藝技能，既創造精美絕倫的藝術佳品，傳承民族藝術，又促進了當地的經濟發展。艾佩詩對當地女性自立自強的精神表示由衷的贊賞。

在貴州貴安新區婦女創業就業基地“竹葉布依服飾有限公司”，婦女積極學習民族手工藝技能。

同月，由英國駐重慶總領事館主辦的“聽她們的故事，想自己的人生”系列女性話題分享會，讓在場來賓會圍繞“女性創業”這個話題進行交流，活動在成都方所書店舉行。由當地杰出的創業女性代表在現場分享成功背后的故事，并且與廣大市民面對面交流，由此得到對女性話題更真實、更清晰的認識和思考。參會的嘉賓以事業有成的杰出女性為主，她們有的是企業高管，有的獲得博士學歷，有的獨立創業，在職業的發展中各有不同，性格也迥然不同，但是最后都能收獲自己精彩的人生。

今年，“做你自己”系列活動將繼續開展，中英的友好關系與合作將更進一步。2017年2月9日，英國駐重慶總領事艾佩詩女士拜訪了重慶市婦聯。市婦聯主席丁中平會見了艾佩詩女士一行，丁主席介紹了市婦聯相關工作，以及與英國駐重慶總領事館多次交流合作情況。艾佩詩女士介紹了英國駐重慶總領事館開展的“做你自己，助力女性，共享未來”的相關活動，還參觀了婦女心理咨詢室，手工編織展示中心，茶藝，插花和烘焙室，以及婦女社會組織服務中心。雙方還談到了如何進一步加強婦女兒童事業發展領域的友好交流，并希望在女性技能培訓交流、婦女兒童權益保護等方面有更多的合作。

Early in March 2016, British Embassy has started the Be Yourself Campaign in China in order to enhance the corporation between China and Britain, promote equal gender, and encourage women develop in society and economic fields that help them achieve their social value and ideal. In the past year, British Consulate General in Chongqing has held Be Yourself:Help Women Enjoy the Futureseries activities (abbreviated as Be Yourself campaign below) in southwest cities including Chengdu, Guizhou, Kunming, and Chongqing. This series activities gather successful women together to share their experience of career and life. It is International Working Women’s Day this year, British Consulate General in Chongqing will continue hold more diversity of cultural communication and activities to promote thisBe Yourselfcampaign.

Be Yourselfcampaign aims to eulogize women’s inner power, encourage them think what they think, do what they want, and explore their potentiality. British Consulate General in Chongqing has held three experience-sharing meeting that presented working women with different background, education, and personality; saw how they went through their life when facing issue like begin an undertaking, second child, and self-awareness. These experiences-sharing also aimed to help other women, and trigger thinking of “be yourself”. Barbara Woodward, British ambassador to China, wishes successful women in whole China could make their efforts for equal gender throughBe Yourselfcampaign.

In China, women’s roles in society, family, and career are different from half century ago. Women step into high class in career, even start an undertaking, and achieve success that men may not have. Nevertheless, they continue to play the role of mother and find the balance between working women and mother. Currently, women need to face challenges, pressures, and social infl uences, what lead them make different choices? When facing society development rapidly, over-load information and opportunities led to excitement and anxious, how women prepare for those changes in psychological and technique aspects to balance their life in society and family in order to complete their self-awareness is an important topic forcontemporary women.

In November, 2016, Cecille El Beleidi, the British Consul General in Chongqing has visited Guizhou and the Jinxiu Plan, which is the national minority women developing program organized by Guizhou Women's Federation. National minority women were learning handwork technique in Zhuyebuyi Clothing Company in women career base, Guian new district. Women in the base were making handcraft to continue the minority art, and enhanced the economic development in the meanwhile. Cecille has expressed her appreciation of local women’s independent spirits.

In the meanwhile, British Consulate General in Chongqing has held experience-sharing meeting seriesListening to their stories, thinking of your own life.On 4thNov, the meeting of the topic “women begin an undertaking” was held in Fangsuo bookstore, Chengdu. There were successful female representatives from different fi elds that sharing stories behind their success and communicating with others to make clarify the idea with realistic facts of this women topic.

The 1stactivity ofListening to their stories, thinking of your own liferevolve around the topic “woman begins an entrepreneur”. Female entrepreneur representatives had presented their speech, Yi Yu, the supervisor had summarized the meeting. The major guest speakers were mainly successful working women, some of them were executives in enterprises, some of them had achieved PhD degree, some of them started their entrepreneurs individually… they came with diverse education background with different personalities, however, all of them achieved wonderful life.

In 2017,Be Yourselfcampaign series activities will continue, China and Britain’s friendly relationship and corporation will step further. On 9th Feb, 2017, Cecille has visited Chongqing Women’s Federation. Ding Zhongping, the chairman of Chongqing Women’s Federation met and communicated with Cecille. Chairman Ding introduced Women’s Federation work and communication with British Consulate General in Chongqing. Cecille introducedBe Yourselfcampaign to Ding, and visited women psychology consultation clinic, handcraft showroom, tea art house, ikebana room, baking room, and women service center. Cecille and Ding talked about how step further in enhancing women and children’s social cause development and friendly communication, and both of them hope more cooperation on aspects like women technique training and rights protection of women and children.
