New production facilities at KARL MAYER ROTAL in Italy.

A new Development Center for double-bar raschel technology at NIPPON MAYER in Fukui， Japan. It will be opened officially with an in-house show from 1 to 3 March 2017.

At KARL MAYERs headquarters in Germany a new 12，000 square meter assembly hall and a new Core Competence Center for Parts and Components. Visitors will be able to see this in July 2017. Then KARL MAYER will also set up nine newly developed machines for an in-house exhibition organized for business partners， plus a separate open day for the public.

Furthermore KARL MAYER（China） will show new developments to their business partners in autumn of this year at their factory in Changzhou， China.

Supreme Peoples Court rejects Colvas request for retrial

The Textile Effects division of Huntsman Corporation announced on February 15th 2017 that the Supreme Peoples Court of the PRC rejected Shanghai Colva Dyestuff Industry Co.， Ltd. （“Colva”）s request for a retrial of the patent infringement claim brought by Huntsman.

In earlier decisions， both the Shanghai Intermediate Peoples Court and the Shanghai High Peoples Court ruled that Colva had infringed Huntsmans Chinese Patent No. ZL00106403.7 by manufacturing and selling Colvazol Super Black LC-G and Colvazol Super Black LC-R. With the Supreme Peoples Courts decision above， Huntsman has finally prevailed over Colva in this patent infringement action.

In a separate action that is currently pending before the High Peoples Court， Shanghai， Huntsman is seeking substantial damages of RMB 231 million and an injunction against further infringement from Zhejiang Longsheng Group Co.， Ltd.， Zhejiang Keyong Chemical Co.， Ltd.， and Colva.

Huntsmans patented technology is a true innovation for producing deep black shades. It is used in Huntsmans NOVACRON？ Super Black G and NOVACRON？ Super Black R. Making， using， importing or selling nonHuntsman products that use Huntsmans patented chemistry is an infringing act.

Official Verification： All Standard Lenzing Fibers Are Derived 100 Percent from Nature

Lenzing Viscose？ and Lenzing Modal？ fibers including all their product families were awarded the Biobased Product Label granted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture（USDA）. The prestigious certification is further proof that all standard types of fibers produced by Lenzing are fully derived from the natural and renewable raw material wood. The companys Lyocell fiber TENCEL？ has already been certified as 100 percent biobased content since 2011. Lenzing FR？ has now also been certified as 99 percent biobased. The residual amount is for material used to make the fiber fire-resistant.
