CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES LAUNCHES ITS GUANGZHOUVANCOUVER - MEXICO CITY ROUTE IN APRIL

On April 10th, 2017, China Southern Airlines will launch a new service from Guangzhou to Mexico City via Vancouver, operated by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. This will be China Southern’s flrst flight to Latin America, and the company’s longest international route as well.

The round-trip service from Guangzhou to Mexico City will make a stopover at Vancouver. It is China Southern's flrst flight to Latin America, offering a new option to passengers.

China Southern Airlines and its SkyTeam partner, Aeromexico, will work together to provide network interconnections. When visitors arrive in Mexico City, they will be able to travel conveniently to 20 cities in Mexico and 12 other cities in the Americas including Cancun, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Havana, Lima, Santiago and other places through the agreement between China Southern and Aeromexico.

Mexico City is the capital of Mexico, located in the valley of the plateau of the central and southern Mexico. It is the oldest city in the Western Hemisphere. As a world famous tourist city, Mexico City has many historical sites such as the Constitution Square, the Teotihuacan ancient city, the sun pyramid and the moon pyramid. They attract thousands of visitors every day to visit. With the launch of the Guangzhou - Vancouver - Mexico City service, China Southern will set up an efflcient air bridge to have a personal taste of the Mexican enthusiasm and the exotic Mexican style.

During the new service promotion period from April to June, China Southern Airlines will provide special prices for seat selecting in advance/ paid seat selecting/additional free luggage/ holiday sales, etc., on various China Southern marketing platforms such as the offlcial website, APP and WeChat.

According to Xiao Yong, general manager of China Southern Airlines Guangzhou Offlce, they have been working closely with large travel agencies and product providers to launch a variety of tourism products to Mexico to meet the needs of different customers. "Before the launch, the travel from China to Mexico is very expensive. As a result, people rarely choose this destination and travel packages are usually around RMB18,000-28,000 yuan. We believe that this market will be very promising with the frequent economic and trade exchanges between China and Mexico, as well as the diversiflcation of the domestic tourist market . "

Currently, China Southern Airlines has 6 routes with 5 destinations in North America: Guangzhou - Los Angeles, Guangzhou - Vancouver, Guangzhou -Toronto, Guangzhou - New York, Guangzhou - San Francisco, Guangzhou - Wuhan - San Francisco. After the launch of the Mexico City service, the carrier will have 6 destinations in North America with 48 flights per week during the summerautumn flight season. With the continuous increase of destinations and flight frequencies, China Southern's North America route network will also continues to be improved for passengers to have more options traveling to the region.

Visa 簽證

this new route involves visas from both Mexico and Canada. If you hold a valid visa from Canada, then you can enter Mexico visa-free. If you hold a valid visa from the United States, Japan, Britain, or Schengen countries, you will have to apply for a Canadian transit visa to enter Mexico. If you don't have the above two types of visa, then you will have to apply for a valid visa for Mexico and a transit visa for Canada to take this flight via Vancouver to Mexico City.
