China Textile Go Global Union was formally launched

On March 16th， the unveiling ceremony of China Textile Go Global Union （referred to Union） was held in Shanghai， with 88 founding members in China textile industry forming a big family to go global under the call of China National Textile and Apparel Council （referred to CNTAC）.

Approved by National Development and Reform Commission， and sponsored by CNTAC， China Textile Go Global Union is a platform organization to jointly promote cooperation of international capacity of textile industry， with volunteers of internationalizing enterprises， social organizations and service agencies in the whole textile and apparel industry chain. With the principle of “Service， coordination， open and win-win”， the Union organizes the power of textile industry to actively join the co-construction of “The Belt and Road Initiative” and establishes coordination mechanism to realize mutual benefit and win-win and promote healthy and sustainable development of international capacity cooperation of China textile industry， by means of building a full range of service platform. The establishment of the Union and promotion of service coordination get guidance and energetic support of NDRC， and are brought into the promotion of cooperation in international capacity and project docking mechanism.

At the ceremony， Wu Hongliang， deputy directorgeneral put forward three suggestions： first is to build a bridge for cooperation between government and enterprises； second to set up a comprehensive service platform； third to help enterprises plan behaviors and strengthen cross-industry cooperation， so as to raise the voice of Chinas textile industry. Meanwhile， the member enterprises should supplement international and domestic markets to exert competitive advantages and integrate upstream and downstream resources to realize mutual development. He indicated that NDRC will work with various departments to support the Union and provide better services for textile enterprises to go global.

Sun Ruizhe， President of CNTAC， pointed out that the establishment of the Union was a part of Chinas strategic layout. At present， Chinas economy has ranked second in the world， with annual foreign direct investment of nearly $200 billion， and the output of textile industry has occupied more than half of the world， with exports reaching $300 billion， which made “Joint discuss， building and sharing” up to nationals strategy. At the same time， it was also the resonance of the industry colleagues， and “going global” was necessary to create new international competitive advantages. Sun Ruizhe suggested that the Secretariat of the Union should serve for the expansion of global interest with sincerity， and contribute to the layout of healthy and sustainable international cooperation with great courage.

At the signing ceremony， Su Xiao， president of Shandong Ruyi Group， and Tong Jisheng， Chairman of Shanghai textile （Group） Co.， Ltd. made speeches to share their experience.

Su Xiao said， due to early step of “going global”， Ruyi Group has formed an international industrial layout to radiate all over the world with the center of Shandong province， and developed a complete wool spinning industry chain including wool， yarn， fabric and garment， from Australia to France. In the process of “going out”， Ruyi Group established a state-level scientific research platform and won the highest honor in Chinas industry， unswervingly following hi-tech and high-end route. Also， Ruyi Group established digital spinning base in Yinchuan， to create intelligent factory with digital technology， so as to greatly improve production efficiency. In addition， Ruyi Group has been practicing the strategy of “going global” in brand building and brand cluster. At present， it operated many brands in Japan and purchased light luxury group in France， meantime， it cultivated independent and high-end fabric brand - Royal Ruyi. She added that Ruyi would forge ahead and struggle together with member enterprises on the support of big data in the future.

Tong Jisheng said that globalization was a historical inevitable trend， “Going global” was the only way for the sustainable development of China textile industry， as well as cooperation as a union was a shortcut to realize industrial internationalization and success of capacity cooperation. Shanghai Textile Group has conducted indepth exploration and practice， including improving stance to distribute international development in high starting point and solidly promoting industrial internationalization around core advantages. As for the development of the Union， He also put forward several suggestions： to research global market， resources， advantages and future trend， so as to provide guidance and support of industrial policy； to innovate system and mechanism and combine the Union enterprises to go global with internationalized and localized thinking method； to integrate local resources， resources of the third country and Chinas resources， so as to coordinate the ability of China textile enterprises and jointly develop international market.

From the beginning of 2015， under the background of transformation from capital importing to capital ex- porting country， more and more Chinas textile enterprises joined the team to go global， whose footprints covered from Southeast Asian countries to African land. In this process， CNTAC has always been carrying out the work of guidance， help and support. China Textile Go Global Union is the official start of deepening service work， which will make full good use of high quality resources at all levels， expand dedication to serve the interests of union members， and contribute to the healthy and sustainable layout of international cooperation.

In 2017， in order to better promote the docking between domestic and foreign enterprises and investment research， the Union will organize enterprises to visit and research overseas countries. For example， on April 17 -24， the union will go to Australia and New Zealand to carry out research project on textile raw materials； on April 23 - 30， to research on international allocation of resources in Vietnam and Burma； on May 14 - 21， to make a docking with textile enterprises and carry out research on industrial investment environment in Morocco and Tunisia； on June 5 - 9， to go to Ethiopia for the research on international allocation of resources； at the end of June， to carry out in-depth docking project between Chinese and Italian garment enterprises； in mid July， to implement research on investment policy and environment in Arkansas of the United States； in mid September， to do research on investment policy and environment in Central and Eastern Europe； in November， to carry out docking project on textile and apparel trade in Bangladesh； at the end of November， to research on investment in Ethiopia and South Africa.

As a non-profit service platform for the international cooperation of “The Belt and Road Initiative”， the Union aims to create global union of interests community in textile industry. After its establishment， it will positively explore high-quality resources at all levels， build “bridge collaboration platform”， “investment promotion platform” and “information research platform”， to strengthen interactive cooperation among information， capital， project and talent， so as to form a high-level service system to promote healthy development， sustainable overseas layout as well as internal and external linkage.
